What should I do
:? I ordered my Flint Mica on the 24th. I'm trading in an 04' F150 XLT SuCab
since the gas prices and mileage are more than I want to deal with now. I should have thought about it before I bought but oh well, I can't undo it. The problem is is the trade in value KBB is putting it at $22925 and my payoff is $23800. Yay, I'm upside down, I knew it was going to happen. The dealership is telling me they'll only give me $20k regrardless of what KBB says. I'm kinda fighting with them now and I still want the car but I told them before I want at least $21k for it. I know Toyota as well as all the other car companies aren't going to give me what a Ford dealer will give me but cmon. Any suggestions on what I should do??
I know my payments are gonna be high but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Help!!

Unless you can find a private seller willing to pay your full note or can come up with the $1,000 difference yourself, you're at the mercy of the dealer you're buying the tC from and they know it. Unless you're really hating your truck, I wouldn't roll three grand into the price of your new car. Before you give up completely, try having you're truck evaluated a Ford dealership for trade-in value (most dealers will offer to buy your car even if you won't buy one of theirs). If they offer a higher value, go back to Scion and let them know you have a better deal on the trade-in and will buy a Focus if you have to. That might get them to budge a little. Good luck.
Just don't trade it in! Sell it privately for the KBB value (or even more if you can pull it off), then you'll just have to dig into your pocket to come up with the remainder to pay off your loan. Then, once you have all that ironed out, order your tC.
Sell it yourself. I sold my old Camry when my transmission died. It was going to cost $2k-$3k to fix it so I decided to sell it and get the tC instead.
KBB value of my Camry: -$1,350 ($1,150 - $2,500 for repairs)
I sold it for $1,570, $2920 more then blue book :D
Yea, I know, My car cannot be worth a negative amount. But KBB said subtract the cost of repairs from the value of the car. Any way you look at it is still better the KBB.

Rule number one: You're always better off selling it to a private party. Go to this website to learn more on buying and selling cars: http://www.carbuyingtips.com
