Default Found a worty WHITE led for side mirror retro's. high output

well, i am against crappy 3, 5, 10mm led's as they suck for viewing angle.. so, i was searching around and found these superflux led's that would work and be brighter and have a wider viewing angle thant the stock amber superflux. be carefull when using as they are 1.70 ea and draw 80ma.. (thats enough power to run 4 standard 3,5mm led's). pirahana is up there in quality so they have that added + as well.. id like to be the ginny pig but i dont need another thing to attact po po's as white for a blinker is illegal in wis. as in most states.. whether they let little things like that slide or not is up to you.. but these boys will get the job done.. as well as a decent backup bulb..

do you think these will have to be replaced 3 times a year like the other mods of 5 and 10mm led's?

after dealing with a batch of Hong Kong LEDs from ebay... it's a gamble and guess really.. i've seen good batches and bad ones.

most of the time it's a mix of good and not so good leds.

great thing is that hong kong leds are really cheap.. so i don't mind as much if a couple of leds are of poor quality.

what? i buy the cheapest crap of led's on ebay and i've never once had to replace them. so, to be honest, i think its a lack of led knowledge that is burning them up. led's are sensitve to voltage. proper procautions must be taken. simple little things.. led's aret super complicated, ya just need to know how they work. and best hong kong dont make led's, there an led wholesaler.. pirahana led's are high quality.. only thing that will make them low quality is the installers lack of circuit knowledge...

I agree with magyver, LED's must be given the correct amount of power.

I thought I would share some pics of a white LED mirror mod a friend and I did. These are for an xb.

P.S. magyver, the white superflux LED's I have, have 12,000 - 15,000 MCD, and 120° viewing angle. I use these on dome lights and other miscellaneous mods.
