I did some searching and couldn't find and information, so Ithought I would ask. Does any company make a rear hatch trim piece without the 3rd brake light. I am looking to delete the 3rd brake light. any info would be great.

 

deleteing saftey devices is never a good idea... you'll be at fault for a rear end collision... not worth the liability of possible killing one of your passangers or yourself for a cleaner look. i seriously wouldnt do it.

but if you must, just vinyl it out.. no one makes parts that delete neccecites..

 

Cars after a certain year are legally required to have a 3rd brake light. To my knowledge.

 

You can remove the light and have a body shop fill the hole and paint the peice.. but go ahead and save up for the tickets you will be recieving.

 

yup i'm with engifineer on this one, BAD idea to delete that if only for ticket reasons, um i think some company makes matching vinyls for your car to go over it that matches your cars colors but is light enough that LEDs will go through it when you hit the breaks.... just an idea

 

yeah, tc2nut4 has the right idea here.

a buddy of mine had his integra's TBL shaved and not a week later he got a ticket for it.

accident risk + ticket risk = not a good mod imo
