well congrats on the 15.1 thats crazy with those mods you must be able to launch like a mother and as far as the hks it sounds great i heard it on a s/c tc and WOW it sounded sweet eventualy i would like to get a turbo "i know wrong section" but my first upgrades will be a header and s pipe any opinions on quality and product would be apriciated
just curious if anyone has tried to drop the tire pressure to get better traction ie better quarter mile. I heard somewhere that by reducing the front tires from 33lb to just around high teen will gain more track - making better time. I've personally tested this yet.
1) Ran 15.3 with just a header and hacked airbox. The hacked airbox doesn't do anything, i've learned.
2) Lowering tire pressure in the front works for better straight-line (drag) racing. It'll ruin your handling. Inflate the rears to 40 or so PSI.
When autocrossing, inflate your tires as much as you're comfortable doing. I run 40 or so PSI at all 4 corners, and it significantly bettered my handling.
3) Going S/C ? - then getting an intake is a waste.... Going turbo? Then getting a header is a waste.. Do lots of research before considering investing that much money into something you'll need more than a basic knowledge to maintain.
