Default body kit insallation prices

I am looking to buy either the buddy club 2 body kit or gt touring for my 06 tc. How much am I looking at for installation and paint from a body shop?

800+ when done properly... keep in mind neither of those kits are of the "highest" quality so will need some fitting and also to properly install a kit you'll have to blend which means, your hood, your fenders, doors, quarter panel, and turnk (basically over 3/4 of your car) will have to be painted/cleared.

a friend has gotten a kit done and the peices painted for about 1100. but the kit needed extra work to fit, so that goes into play and ya the BC2 is going to take some good fitment work on that paticular kit

The fitment issues on buddy club 2 kits were on fiberglass versions. We have shipped over 20 flex fiber buddy club 2 kits and not a single complaint so far.

The touring kit is made in urethane but will need prep work for paint.

There is a difference between terrible fitment and quality and expected difficulty on a body kit install. We may design the buddy club 2 side skirts the way we did the sensu kit to replace the entire oem side skirt panel. Not many cars have a factory removeable side skirt and when we designed the sensu kit and did the prototyping with Chris from Viniati we made them as a full replacement.

We did not prototype the BC2 kit our manufacturer contracted that out to someone last year.

As for overall quality of the finish of the kit the flex fiber parts are all much much more body shop friendly than standard fiberglass. We have alot of body shops ordering the flex fiber kits from us for customer cars and they have raved about the flexibility and the quality of finish.

no, you're right they are a decent fit from the box, however BC is known for not letting their kits cure the whole way, overall on fitment i gave it 8/10 from the box, so for how much money I payed I'd easily say they're the best for the money. They're very very simple and clean looking, flow well with factory body lines, use ALL factory mounting points and looks (IMO) a hell of a lot better than most of the other sideskirts out for our car... So yes I am in general a very happy customer but I still say that pretty much every body kit manufacturer should spend more time perfecting their molds, and allowing the kit to cure the whoel way before sticking it in a box that reaches 110+ degree temps while on the way to me and molding while in shipment. Thats all...

I love the skirts, love the look and love the price, and I'm happy with the fit

(Sorry Kustomz didn't want to get into it with you, so I just went ahead and clarified)

Just wish a Japanese company would show some interest in our car oughveilsidecough: It get right on that if they did, I swear with the four different kits i've ever had that was the ONLY one that came out of the box, fit PERFECT even WITH the predrilled holes, the hand laid glass had not a single wave in it and their embossed logos on the parts kinda make you feel special

so I guess the best way to go without worrying about the body being messed with is a flex fiber kit?

well that, or a urethane kit, as of now only kaminari and viniati make the urethane kits, which don't crack, are fine in hot or cold weather and is easy to paint and requires little to no flex agent making it easier on the body shop and your wallet
