Kap !! You beat me to it !!

Actually i have been activately reading from this forum for a couple of mths already and was planning to register and join the forum after i get my box.

Al Kapitan here, is a frd of mine, we both placed orders for our bBs together and both our boxes will be arriving our shores on the same ship. He got the Black, while i got the Lava Orange.

I must say that i am impressed with the load of info that this forum has about the xb/bB. And hopefully after i found my ideal set of rims, i will post some of the JDM bB for you guys to share.

I think it will be interesting to see someone's ride influenced by both Scion xB and Toyota bB cultures. Even though they are not so different there are distinctions. Are cars in Singapore able to get performance modifications without being overly scutinized?

In Japan the bB has been out for a year or more longer than the Scion xB, I can't wait to see what your designs are. I think you will have a little easier time getting access to Japanese parts .

In the U.S. there is a noticeable performance difference with the manual transmission xB versus the automatic transmission. Is this a big deal for drivers in Singapore?

Are there stereotypes of people that supposedly have "ricey" cars in your country? Just wondering...

Congratulations on your bB's! :D

That's a good question. I would imagine since it's an actual bB and not an xB it'd be RHD.
Aren't we (U.S.) about the only people who are LHD? :?

Yep !! Its still there, in fact just got back from there. Its 2 am sunday morning over here.

We are using RHD cars over here. For the JDM bB we are getting, its only available in the steering column shfit auto transmission. On the outlooks, the diff will be the missing rear bumper signal lamps which you guys are getting and we are not, the steering wheel will be a toyota logo instead of the Scion. I thin there is abt it. But i will post picts of the bB interior and exterior when it i collect it. So that you guys can see the difference.

Our crapola authorities here are super strigent abt engine mods. Click on the link below to see what the kind of stuff we can and CANT do..shezz.. talk abt lack of creativity

Well... most of the racer boys swear by manual trans but more and more cars begin imported here are getting auto only trans version. So its a matter of getting used to it after while.. anyway the highest speed limit here is 90km/h or ard 55miles/h so no point travelling fast. In fact i lost my bike license 3 years bike when the traffic cops clocked me at 135km/h on a 80 km/h.
:?

Dude.. there have been many changes to the clubbing scene here, and it just gets better all time. Hmm... trance and hard house music...you should be referring to Zouk or Velvet underground. Hope you drop by over here sometime, would be more than happy to show you ard the stretch of clubs in singapore.

I have a copy of the Hyper Rev mag for bB and its loaded with picts of bB

here are some links to the jap wedsite for bB kits

www.fabulous.co.jp
www.spirits.co.jp
www.pond.co.jp
www.dipark.jp
www.pandora-inc.com
www.garson.co.jp (personal fav)
www.south-yokohma.com

http://www.toyota.co.jp/Showroom/customize/bb/custom/

http://www.toyota.co.jp/Showroom/All.../bB/index.html ( this is the offical toyota site in japan, explore the icons on the left of the page)

For your guys info, there are 2 variants of bB, the older bB version( before Minor Changes or MC) is recognized by the licence plate being located in the rear bumper. The newer one has a longer front bumper of 6 cm from the older version and the licence plate is on rear boot. That is the easiest way of recognizing the older and newer one. Ours are missing the rear bumper blinkers as well. And we are getting bench seats and arm rest Other than that most of it is the same as your xB, so if any parts fit on ours, it will definately fit on yours.

Me and Kap are getting the newer 04 bB which is exactly the same as what you guys are getting on the exterior but interior will be slightly different. Will post picts to show you guys the interior once i get my wheels later this mth.

Now i am looking for chrome rims either 16" or 17" for my Lava. I have also ordered the original bB floor mat and the toyota foglight as well. Hope its easy to install them foggies, bc i planning to be doing em' myself.
