What kind of airfreshener do you use? now that my new car smell is gone...I want to get something that smells good, but not too powerful.

I have the Glade one that's sticks to the AC/Heater Grill(?). The color blends in well with the tC's interior. Get the 'Outdoor Fresh' scent. Smells man-ly! :P

Could always go to Home Depot or Lowes and pick up an air filter to make a cabin filter. In the same section at the hardware store, they sell air freshner that you attach to the filters too. can put one of those on there so the scent fills up the cab. Or put a satchel or something where the cabin filter would go.

I say this because it is illegal to hang anything from the rear view mirror in the state of Virginia. Don't ask me why.

every single person who got in my car had to ask what it is...then said, it smells like sprite
but it's about 3 months old and nearly dead.

My air spencer died in about a week. Maybe cause of the heat? I don't know, but I'm wondering what air fresheners out there are long lasting.

The Yankee Candle Company has an air freshener called "Clean Cotton". DAMN that smells manly.

Whoops - I should probably finish my post.

That's what I use and I love it. I can't stand that overbearing generic cherry smell.

You can always use the Irish Spring trick. I did that for my old car. Just get a bar of it(in the box), unwrap it and cut a thin layer off one of the ends. Put it back in the back and slide it under the seat. Problem solved.

During the summer wouldn't it melt?

Thats why you put it back in its lil box. If something does happen no mess in your car.

I use "Little Trees' " New Car Scent, works very well and still keeps original new car scent helps very much when you don't smoke in the car. I got mine in March and the car still smells brand new.

I have heard of people using one of those sheets you throw in your dryer in the cabin filter. I keep a spray can of Ozium in the little compartment below my radio. I also use a yellow "pine tree"---but then everything is yellow in my car.....

I used to have same theory, a red car should have cherry scent. Green car should have pine scent. When I went shopping for some "Little Trees" I had serious problem with that theory. What scent could match silver? That's when I decided to use "New Car" scent. It's blue but blue matches silver quite well.

A box of dryer sheets equals the price of one air freshener and will last you between 6 months and a year depending on how often you choose to change it.

Try the ones that have an added scent and see if that does the trick for you. I love the Apple Mango Tango sheets by Gain and also the Vanilla Lavendar sheets from the Downy Simple Pleasures line. :)

The latest Scion magazine at the dealer has a picture of a lot of strange looking freshners. If you are near a dealer--pick one up. There is an actual paper air freshner in the book!!
