View Full Version : Cools Mods 07-09-2004, 07:33 PM I am a new scion owner and by being girl I want to know the cool mods that are out there. I want to be able to fit in with the boys. I am thinking about the z1 performance module on ebay. just saying hi. :D DJQuikFingaz 07-09-2004, 07:40 PM Springs and wheels are a must :D AbboTT 07-09-2004, 07:40 PM sorry to break it to you... but you might want to re-read that and think about it. Better yet, do a search on these fourms for those chips. Definate scam. Even better still; don't buy from ebay at all. :) I guess I just know too many people who rip other people off on ebay. Edit: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19016 KevinA 07-09-2004, 08:02 PM ebay is a great place to get parts, but you must be careful about who you're buying from. Ensure the person has a good feedback rating. If they are a real vendor, they should have lots of feedback and have at least a 98% rating. Lots of other places - besides your dealer - to get parts. I'm sure there are lots of web sites mentioned here, just take your time and look around. Wheels and tires are a good place to start to get the individual look... Welcome! 07-09-2004, 08:03 PM i didn't know ebay was that bad. i usually buy purses and stuff with no problems. maybe i can make it out to a meet some time and get some pointers. :D WheelSee 07-09-2004, 08:05 PM Yeah...ebay rocks for purses  ~wC RacingSolution 07-09-2004, 09:23 PM and playstation 2's that were taken from little boys by their dads because they got bad grades :) (this will only make sense if you saw that auction) the_saint 07-09-2004, 09:23 PM Personally, I wouldn't buy any go-fast goodies for the xB. It seems somewhat like a moot point to me. I'm more for the "Dress Up Style"; body kits, nice wheels (w/proper fitment  ), slammed suspension, and subtle "trick" details. Oh yeah, a kickin stereo too! 8) Since you don't seem to familiar with what's out there, your best bet might be to hit the local cruise spots and get a feel for who is on the up and up and ask them what shops are reputable in your area. You need to be careful though, because there are ALOT of people who will blow smoke up your ___ and take advantage of you. (yeah, I'm a little bit of a cynic  ) Also, find local Scion people like yourself (if possible), there's strength in numbers! If you hang around here long enough, you should be able to gain a great deal of knowledge. Just lurk and "listen" to what people say. You'd be suprised what you can learn just by lurking. |
