Diffently full coverage insurance, it is just nice knowing that if anything happens, it will be covered and not have to come out of your pocket.

Just think in the long run, pay $150 a month, or $3,000 to $4,000 to repair body work after a wreck.

Insurance is a must ... full coverage ... 2 reasons ... if you don't and the accident is your fault ... start to empty your pockets ... if someone gets hurt you could be paying it off for a very long time....and the courts/govt will doc it right out of your paycheck - eve if you're collecting unemployment, etc ... the other reason .... glass coverage ... if ya need to replace a windsheild, etc ... $100 deductable .. etter than payin full price .. mod's come after protecting yourself ... cause a gound effects kit won't do ya a bit of good if ya have no car left

I also live in a state where you don't need insuance, but I wouldn't think about going without it

If a person hits my car in the state of MD and doesnt have insurance, I will take that person to COURT! I'll make sure they pay. I dont want to sound mean, but someone has to pay for it. I dont care if they drive Scion, A Toyota, a really hot chic, someone from a different state, my own family, a celeb, whatever, I dont care if it's el Presidente...they are "going down, going down to China Town" (Meet the PArents)

just because there's no law requiring it, doesn't mean there's not some small print in your lease/loan contract requiring it (unless you paid cash for it).

Default are you financing it or paying cash?

If you are financing it your lender will likely require insurance as they own the car until you make the last payment. trust me, you may not have had an accident yet....but sooner or later you may, and if its your fault let me tell you that medical bills are VERY expensive and can likely exceed the cost of your car. Not to mention that if the other guy has insurance and you dont you'll probably be on the receiving end of legal action from their insurance company. As you get to be an old man like me (32) you'll have more to lose...like your house, i know that monthly or quarterly bill sucks but its in your best interest

at least where I am (CA) u need it... Reason is if u are in an accident the other person can come after ur home and other belongings if u dont have insurance or even if ur insurance policy doesnt cover enough of the cost... I would def cover it...

You don't need auto insurance in the state of Wisconsin? I know what state I'm never driving in again.

I think liability insurance is a must everywhere in case you harm anyone or thier vehicles. That way they are covererd.

don't know about other states, but in New Hampshire you don't need ANY form of insurace on a car that you own outright.. that is until you get into an accident while being uninsured in the state ... then you must carry insurance on your car for 5yrs .. As for a car lease/loan ... you must have full coverage until the car is paid off
