its real easy. I dont have a picture. But if you put the drivers seat back and look under the steering wheel at the firewall right above the brake pedal behind the visible steering shaft there is a grommet. It comes out to the driverside of where the intake manifold is, behind the throttle body.

There's a huge grommet above the clutch pedal. I couldn't get it opened since it had like a turtle neck type of thing on it that was taped up like crazy from the factory. I just sliced a small hole in it and ran my 4 guage through it. Then along the drivers side to the trunk.

Thanks guys, i got it, whew

However, I went out the SIDE of the gromet, so half of the wire is touching metal, is this bad?

Yes, it could slowly cut into the power wire and blow your fuse or worse... Go through the grommet it self and save your car.

might want to "pad" it up with something since it might eventually cut through the wire, and well, we all know what happens when something metal contacts another metal wire when its not supposed to..

how do I go through it? the middle of it seems like its sealed off.... should i poke a hole in it?

You can carefuly poke through it, make sure you dont stab any factory wires. If you are super careful you can cut a slit in the grommet near the side of it (factory wires are near the middle) and go through it. Nothing to hard to do, just a matter of being careful, but worth you car not possibly burning down.

ok im going to do this:

take an exacto knife, tape it to the wire, and shove it through the side of the gromet (avoiding the cluster of factory wires in the middle

yay or nay?

What did you use to poke through with?

And I beleive Harmonic_tC is correct about double layer gromet, so it will be a little harder to push through.

NAY Sorry man I have to be blunt, if you stick a razorknife through the whole gromet you will F*^@ somthing up, you dont want to do that. Cut a slit with the razor blade on the out side and inside of the gromet and use somthing (like a metal coat hanger to push through the two holes and tape the wire to it, not a knife.

Well i cut a slit in the front (inside the car) with a pair of sharp scissors, it worked nicely, but now I need to get THROUGH it... anyone have a picture of it from the hood?

Maybe I should just drill a hole through that diamond above the brake and to the left???
