yes, please drive safely. don't know how soemone can flip a car or crash it in heavy traffic. I almost never get clean traffic any day of the week around Chicago anymore. So drive responsibly. Sounds like someone could have clipper her I bet

I agree also this is a lesson for all to learn from. I am not part of the scion evolution but this is suggestion (if anyone knew the girl or family) send a card on behalf of everyone to show condolences to the family. I think that would show some type of support to the family whether or not the girl was part of scion evolution. just a thought

Default A little off topic

As my subject says this is a little off topic. And my condolances do go out to her family. But it ____es me of that people refer to our cars tc xb xa as a toyota scion. They dont call it a Toyota Lexus. Yes i own a scion, yes toyota ownes scion, but its a brand itself. End of rant.

Split and cleaned up...

No lock... but disrespect of lost Scion owners is not going to be tolerated...

Sad to see... sorry for her family... no matter the circumstances, loss is loss.

I guess the roof does hold 1.5 times the vehicle weight. The roof is completely in tact on this one. Toyota trains us that all their vehicles will hold that much. On some of them I believe it without question but the tC with its glass roofline had me wondering.

This is a horrible accident and I cant even imagine what her family is going through. I cant believe some people would be so disrespectful in this thread. I obviously didnt know her or have anything to do with her but I still am sympathetic to the situation. At the very least show some respect for a fellow Scion owner even after life. I dont wear a seat belt ever. I wear racing harnesses... My xB now has both.

Yeah I remember that day, jacked up my day! I was already exhausted enough. Took me almost two hours to get from just west of Mannheim to my home (Paulina exit)!

I'm sorry, may sound rude but when someone is irresponsible by not wearing their seatbelt and as someone else said probably on their cell phone. DON'T WASTE MY TIME. I have my seatbelt on EVERYTIME and that belt is SNUG and TIGHT. If I was dumb enough to not wear my seatbelt and ejected from my car, run my ___ over for being an idiot!
