Default cold air Intake on 07 tc's?

i am looking to put a cold air intake on my new 07 tc. but i have been hearing that the MAF sensor is slightly different than the 06 and prior tc's. i was specifically looking and the Injen intake. anybody have any news on when intakes for the 07's will be coming out?

oh cool, i sent them an email a few days ago asking them what thier "status" is on the 07 intake and no word back yet.

hopefully soon, that was gonna be my first mod, but the short throw shifter or the trd springs might be the first mod now. this thing handles sweet as it is, i can't imagine it dropped just under 2 inches, but i'm gonna do it anyway and find out :-).

trust me, a drop would make the handling better. stock...the tc does not take corners well, you will hop a bit even at slower entry speeds...STS is a great mod by far. But yeah, as of now, Injen does not have the CAI for the 07...they are still looking for a local tC to work it on...give it a few more months

i gave it some thought. you just just buy a 06 maf sensor and cut the wiring.. get a new adapter... and you're good to go.. or maybe the adapter can just plug right onto it.. i wonder how much something like that would cost.

someone here did a fit for a injen cold air. they used some sort of rubber around the MAF sensor to make it fit in the bigger slot.

looking at the wiring... the pins/wires are in different spots. would need to look at the electrical diagram to rewire it... if that's possible.

yea, i'm not hacking up my brand new car or rigging anything up, i guess i'll wait for injen to come out with the new intake. it looks like suspension will be my first upgrade. in my eyes this car already handles very nicely, but i've also been driving and old pick-up truck for the last 2 years so anything would handle better.

Bad idea, cause the ECu is designed to read the new MAF sensor not the old one, and like stated above its worth the wait, I'm guessin it will only take a couple of months for them to get the new one out.
