Default FINALLY GOT MY 5% TINT INSTALLED ***PIX***

Hey guys, I know its been a while, but I finally got my window tint installed. The guy that did it for me works alone in his shop and he is awesome so his waiting list is always atleast a month long. BUT, I finally got it in, and I love it. I think it makes the car look totally different. Tell me what you guys think. It's 5% all the way around with the windshield band as low as it can legally be.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

This is my favorite shot. Believe it or not, my wife is actually sitting in the passengers seat. CAN YOU SEE HER????

Close up of the tint. The spots you see are not on the tint, it is actually dirt or something. If you notice, it is on the paint of the car too. I washed it 5 minutes before this and it got that dirty that quick!! Notice the very back window, you can BARELY see the outline of the factory tint and remember this is in the middle of the day. Imagine how dark it is at 9:00pm LOVE IT!

Well, that's it for now guys. Let me know what you guys think.

SPECIAL SHOUTS TO PROSHOPXB FOR HOOKIN ME UP WITH THE VIPER 791XV INSTALL AT HIS SHOP!! THE ALARM WORKS GREAT, THANKS PROSHOP!!!

I actualy paid for 5% and the fruit put on 20%. I was very unhappy and plan to redo it for next season, but I have to many other mods in the way, since I already am tinted (kinda) . For what its worth though it looks great on yours, try a night shot for us.

Your xA looks really sharp. That's what I would like to have done to my car. I have the flint mica and I haven't researched it yet, but from what I've seen on other cars .. I think that silver tinting would look cool with the color of my car.

Thanks for the tip oldman. If your daughter's car looks good with regular tint at 32% then I'll just go ahead and do that. What is the limit for being legal?

Most states don't allow anything on the front windows, and I think down to 5-15% on the rears. Hard to say without checking the tintlaws.

Here's mine with 35% tint all the way around, minus windshield.

I swear I made a post but it is missing.......

32 is the limit in AL, it varies state to state. A good tint shop will know.

Nah, you can tint fronts. Here in TX its 25% front/back doors and no limits on the hatch window. 5" heigth strip on windshield. Trust me, i know cuz i was just nailed the other day for 5% on back doors and %15 on front doors!! LOL Just goes with the territory. I was under impression the back doors windows could be as dark as you wanted due to the Xb being classified as smal utility but, its all up for interpretation is what the law says in TX and i was nailed. Only pulled over cuz i was speeding, they normally will not stop you for tint unless its like 3am on a Sat. night. Will i take the tint off???.........c'mon, of course not.

why would you want a moving violation that would increase your insurance over a fix it ticket?

Peeling off the tint would be wayyy cheaper than paying speed ticket AND paying higher insurance rates. You could peel off, then re-tint it after and still make out cheaper.
