Default clutch and gear problem

recently out of nowhere i just noticed my clutch being really really soft to the point where it took like 15mins to adjust then i noticed how easy it was to get in to gears like 5th also before i wasnt able to move the shifter into neutral without the pushing the clutch i bet it would but would require some force now itll just go in like nothing ... is it cuz im breaking it in .. just hit 5k ... sorry for the paranoid post

....

You're supposed to push the clutch in regardless of if it's easy or not. Judging by your reaction, you've probably worn your clutch down excessively.

To add to my rude reply, no, it's not part of the break-in process. Pulling it out of gear without disengaging wears it down severely and can cause long-term damage.

yea, clutch whenever moving the stick. thats the first thing I told my sister when teaching her to drive stick...have it checked at the mechanic or dealer, or whomever you use and then get a second or third opinion so that you don't get ripped off with more repair costs than you need

take it in, if this is a constant problem then a tech should be able to easily diagnose the problem in an hour tops.

my guess, you need a trans fluid flush

My clutch is soft too at 12k. I'm probably going to look into a performance one, since the clutch is a wear/tear item and isn't covered under warranty.

from on level ground with the ebrake off, push in the clutch pedal, put it in third gear
let out the clutch pedal slowly. if the car doesn't move, your clutch needs to be replaced.
if it pulls the car, you should be ok, but i would still get it checked out
