I disagree. The single best thing Ford could do to keep them from filing bankrupcy would be to nix just about their entire line of cars in the states, and bring over the entire line of cars from Europe. The Ka is a great car, but even better would be the Cosworth. A line up of Ka, Focus, and Cosworth would do Ford wonders here. In fact, I'd go so far as to say they should also fire 90% (or more) of the white collars in the states, and bring over the white collars from Europe. They are like two completely different entities.

Ford is hurting because they threw all of their investments into SUV's and since gas is sky high, they are loosing sales. There are more factors involved in this aswell, like reliability and resale value, but building Gas guzzlers during an energy crisis never helps either.

i think the more important question to ask is why you considered a Ford product to start with?!? Which ever vehicle you get will spew out more toxins and kill more animals then this commercial and its car killing sunroof.

yeah, these are pretty funny commercials.

ford definitely is completely different in europe, i don't even know what Ford USA is thinking. i mean c'mon, europe has had a billion revisions to the focus, all of which kick the US version's a$$ a million times over, especially with the RS versions. and the sport ka could be ford's answer to the japanese subcompact market in the US. but no, they will never do it. at least they are cutting production by 20% next quarter and are rethinking their strategy.

I could not agree more. When I first moved here I saw how out of touch ford are here (apart from the new mustang) No cosworth, No RS with the sweet sparco seats standard and no ST .

Not only that but ford Australia is doing the muscle thing better there too.
