dont know if it's stamped on the car, but various oil filter sites list it as 2AZ-FE

well, youre not going to find FE, because FE is the code of the head. 2AZ is the engine code.

it says KA24 I think, on the block.

KA24? that was a Nissan engine used in the 1st gen. Altima, and 240SX

I know, just look on the right side, mid-place and look at the engine block, it says something like K20 there or KA something. I don't remember what exactly said, but I know it starts with a K. :P

and yes it does also say 2AZ on the lower part of the engine, right side, near the tranny. Beside the OEM header.

^^^ apparently not, but K20 and KA codes are far from anything Toyota makes.

the k code is just a casting code. it has nothing to with the engine type. and the other letters below your 2az are the serial numbers for the engine.

the fe is for the head, you should find it somewhere on there.

:tap: I told ya that I knew there was K something on the engine block. I did not assure you it was neither of those. So step back.

Its most likely just a manufacture code for the block. But ill have to check that out, where on the motor is it.

The first photo is from the mid section of the block at the right. The second one is at the right of the OEM header (if you still have it) a little lower.
