Default Header install Q *need help asap*

hey SL'ers

I am about to install my megan racing header, and a friend's DC Sports header, my question is,

Do I use the gasket that is included with the new header, or reuse the stock gasket, or should I go out and buy a new one from the dealer?
Any leaks or anthing? Do I reuse stock donut gasket, the one on the bottom, collector?

When I installed my DC header I bought a new Manifold gasket just to be on the safe side, but people have gotten away with reusing the factory one. As for the donut gasket, I reused the stock one. Just be very careful when removing it from the stock header, they gough and mar very easily.

i bought the donut and manifold gaskets from the dealer before installing my strup header. it just saves you the trouble of worrying about warped or misaligned gaskets.

+1 and some good old fashion elbow grease(strength) I almost gave up at one point but I put a little more muscle into it and they finally broke loose. It is the hardest part of the whole install.

Try twisting it off as gently as possible, it is tight on there. I used a flat head screwdriver inbetween the top of the gasket and the metal. It is not the best way to do it, but it worked for me. try somthing not so sharp to start it off and then you should be able to work it off by hand.

Twisting it back and forth on the stock header until it comes off.

I cant rember if the DC sports was threaded or not, does the bolt slip right threw the holes on the Megan or does it catch. If it dosent catch you may have to get new bolts and nuts to use.

Im checking on the nuts and bolts. As long as you get the nuts and bolts tight enough and the gasket is good you shouldnt have a leak.
