i saw this car somewhere before but i can't remember where. these pics actually came from an ebay ad for the body kit. i was wondering what kind of rims these are. sorry these are the only good pics i have. i also want to apoligize ahead if this post or question was asked before, or posting pics of this car without the owners permission. this tC is hot, though!

Those are probably one of the top rims on the market right now. But yes, if you want those, you need to save for quite a while.

HRE prolly a grand a peice

 

if i remember correctly, they were $1,299 each. two of those is almost a complete turbo kit w/ prog. fuel management. too much for me for rims whether i could afford it or not. the most i've ever spent on rims each was $215. the spoke design on those rims aren't really anything special or uncommon (very common actually, reminds me of a motegi rim), i just like the black chrome (black was always a favorite) and deep polished lip.

 

they they are really nice wheels, I paid little over 300 a peice for my wheels,
I think HRE's with their price tag shouldnt be on TC'S lol
they belong on cars that cost more then $18,000

 

yea... HRE seems to want to target BMW's, Lexus, Infiniti etc. but i don't think a certain rim only belongs on a certain car IMO. if you can afford it, rock on! but when ya think about it , look how easy it is to spend well over what you paid for the car brand new, with it being a 4cylinder compact car built mostly for fuel economy, JUST to make it show, and no go. a fancy set of rims won't make much of a difference. personally, i wouldn't spend $25+K on a show and go car worth $15,000 stock, and have $899 a set rims on it. :p

HRE wheels have some notoriety for cracking and bending under extreme pressures such as tracking. they look great but they have ____poor reliability

Same to me.

I have 4 friends that track their E36/E46 M3's on HRE's.
Haven't heard any problems nor complaints from them.

Yet again,
they are MD's and radiologists, they have the $$$ cahhhhsh mahhhney $$$
