Default Maybe a new tC owner in the near future...

Hello... my name is Fernando, I live in chicago, i've been in the car scene for a while with my current car (SRT-4)... Yes, its a neon... as i hear some ready to interject that tid bit

I have had the car for about 2.5 years and been part of my car club for the same amount of time. I have put almost 68,000 miles on it in that time. I love to travel for events and have been places like South Carolina (2x) and New Orleans for events. Last month i was in Topeka KS for the SRT Nationals. I travel to hang out with friends as well, i see that a few threads down is "Moromou", a really good friend of mine from back in her neon days . :drunk: ... I work only 8 miles from home, so there are about 20-25 other road trips that i have been on which constitute my mileage, along with hanging out here in Chicago with my friends.

I've done a lot of work to the srt...

Boomba Engine Mounts
Borla Cat-Back
CCA Front Mount InterCooler
JMB Pipe w/Greddy Type S BOV
AEM CAI
Maddog STS
MaxxFabb 3in o2 Housing
Mopar Stage 2 w/ Toys
Needswing DP w/McCord
Ported Intake Mani
Ported Exhaust Mani
Ported Turbo housing

36-Way IPP Coilovers
Front/Rear Strut Tower Bars
Mopar Super Center Cross Drilled Rotors/Brakes
18x7.5 Nex-o rims PX-5
Upgraded Sway Bars

AEM Uego A/F Gauge
Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge
Tech Gauges

When I autox, i swap out my rims to 17x7 Centerline Storm Rims wrapped in Azenis RT-615. And when i hit the 1/4 mile track, i'll go with BFG DR's with stock rims.

Here area few pics of my car over the years

This is how my car currently looks

or more like

Its been in the garage for the last 7 days, with a electrical problem, and more and more its been showing it age.

I guess i have started to out-grow my want to tinker with cars and modifing them. I know that a lot of my new found feelings towards my car is out of frustration, and so before i make any decision on it, i hope to have it back up and running by mid week. After a month or so, i will look at what i want to do with it, and thats where the Scion tC comes in.

I have like the tC since the first time i saw it on the street here in chicago. Its sleek and stylish, I think i would be very happy as an owner of a 2006 or 2007 Scion, but time will tell what i want to do my current car.

So with all that said, i think i might be around on this site some, and learn a little more about the tC and you never know, i might be cruising in one sooner then i think

I love that first pic of all the SRT-4s... are you going to keep your car or trade it in?

I would hit up se-chicago.com as well... we have MANY tC owners over there and believe it or not we do photoshoots just like the one you did above. we get together all of the time and also travel to many different shows. You wont see as much power from your stock tC as you do from your srt-4, but you will have just as much fun. I can assure you of that. feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

Also what forums are you on? the srt forums?

The opening pic from a club photo shoot that we did 2 years ago. I have been part of CSC (Chicagoland SRT Club) for the past 2.5 years, and am currently a board member of the club. Which use to take up a lot of my time, though recently i have been a bit burned out from all the events that i have planned over the past 2 years, so i'm sitting back, letting the others run the show for now.

As for keeping my car, i really don't know, i highly doubt it, i would probably part it out and trade it in.

As for my power and 1/4 time... I have had a boost leak for quite a while and the best that i've been able to muster up is 265hp/289tq with a best of 13.41@105 with 15lbs of boost, when i should be around 19-21lbs

I hope to break 12's once everything is running right again, which funny enough, if i do break 12's, it might do one of 2 things. I would officially be done with the car since i've reached my goal. Or, it will make me keep the car since i have reached my goal and with it being my first car that i truely enjoyed

My club gets together every wed night all year round. I know that the power will definately be different, but it would give me the chance to have a car that really looks good IMO and that i really don't have the want to modify performance wise. As for the forums that i'm on... I am on quite a few, I am on my teams site, on SRTForums.com, on RedlineForums.com... i use to be on a few other neon sites,

It took a while... but i finally parted out the srt-4... traded it, and i now have a 07 SW Scion tC 5-Speed.

I picked it up from Continental Toyota/Scion in Countryside. They gave me great service, along with a fair price for my trade in. I am very happy with my new purchase!
