While I was lowering my xb during the week I had the greatest idea....as we know the Hotchkis rear sway bar is simply a "add on" to the exsisting rear sway bar....which is technically shaped like a "U".....well what is your guy's thoughts on a bar that would connect each side of the bar together to form it into a square.....I feel this will add rigidity to the body and also adding to the handling
In order for it to work the person would have to replace the stock bolts with longer one

Interesting idea, although I dont know if the benefits of it, if any, would be worth the extra weight it would add.
But there is only one way to find out.

While we're on the subject of lowering, has anyone done it with air bags? While I was watching the shop swap out the springs, it looked like it might be doable. The rears should be pretty easy, those rear springs just dropped right out. The fronts looked only marginally more difficult. Big problem I see with air bags on the front would be clearance with other suspension parts...

you want your rear suspension to be 'softer' than your front, otherwise when you actually corner under high stress your rear end will have no play, and you're ___-end will 'whip' out. Like a 60/40 or a 55/45 ratio.
It's proven advantageous to be have a stiffer suspension up front, and a slightly softer one in the rear. Then again you are driving an xB, which is a little top heavy.... so why would anyone be worried about cornering? I'd be worrying about rolling over
