Default Brakes Clicking?

About a week or so my friend noticed a clicking noise coming from my brakes when i press on them and release them. It almost sounds like a spring/click. I thougt maybe it was beacuse I was on a hilly driveway, but it did it when i was on a flat surface as well.

What do you think it could be? My friend said something about it's the ABS or something.

It's normal.

It's the pins in the calipers shifting positions.

Good luck getting it to screech to a stop. We have ABS which prevents that from happening.

You probably just need new pads.

Also on our cars the brake pedal is pretty squishy, not as bad as the Camry and Sienna, but still very Toyota-ish, I really wish it was more Nissan like in that when you get your foot on the pedal its already biting pretty hard

That's how brakes should be, IMO. I hate squishy brakes, it scares me a lot...
