Hey everyone, I've been in contact with a shop here in nassau county called Performance Motorsport. They currently do a lot of tuning for the g35/350z (actually they have one of the world's fastest, but anyways...) I took my car to their shop to get dynoed recently and they really like the tC a lot. In fact, one of the guys that work there who drove my car, went out and bought one the next day and already has pistons, rods, & valves on the way. But back to the point... Originally, they were planning on having the meet Wednesday, August 30th, but due to the weather it has been moved to Thursday, September 7th.

Contact me if you have any questions. Once again, the meet has been postponed until thursday, sept. 7th. Hopefully everyone is still interested in coming. We still plan on BBQing, and the guys at the shop are really interested in working with the scion community. Should be a great time!

it would be better if they did it on a sat or sun. if that was the case i would be interested.

Alright, I'll bring that to their attention when I go there on thursday. It wouldn't be a late night though regardless, I have commute to nyc everyday around 6:45am... it'd be till 11pm or so.

i hear ya. i'm in northern westchester...work in lower ct. so everything to LI is a major haul.
that's why i've never even made it out to the DPA meet.
but i am interested in meeting people to talk about more power.

thats a cool idea usually we hangout in oceanside on weds off long beach road next to nathans all there clubs make it out pretty frequently NRG, EVO LI, and EVO queens

well if you guys wanna change it up for next week, it'd definitely be a good time. Nice clean shop, and they do really good work.

I'm not sure exactly how much they charge, but I'm gonna stop by there today after work. I'll definitely find out for ya. He did say that he would most likely have discounted rates from their 350z/g35 prices because the age demographic of scion is younger.

Just got off the phone with them. They charge $85 an hour, unlimited runs I believe. Not sure if there is going to be a discount at the meet or not, but even at $85/hr it's still pretty cheap.

crap. i am out of town then anyway. can't do it. but i am interested and serious.
talk to them about future team discounts if a bunch of us go in at the same time. and please, please, please...a weekend??

I wanna get as many people as possible. If you're interested, definitely try to make it! The guys at the shop are extremely nice & very cool. If we have a decent turnout, that'll show these performance shops that the scion community is a valuable customer base, and we can possibly get some new products & group buys/discounts, etc... I wanna get a general idea of how many people are coming though, because the crew chief, Vinnie, wants to know how many hot dogs, burgers, & sodas to get. If the weather holds up, I'll be by the dunkin donuts on DPA tonight where the other scion people meet with some flyers.

You can take the southern state parkway to exit 27N (wantagh parkway) and get off at exit W2 (east, towards hicksville). From there you just make a left onto charlotte ave (about a 1/4 mile up the road, by the stop & shop) and its on that road.

How many people are actually going to be coming? The guys at the shop wanted to know if it would be easier on you guys to postpone it till next wed or thurs. If there is going to be a decent turnout tomorrow, that's fine, but if it would give people more time to plan and take off work, or whatever then they said they could push it back a week if we want. Get back to me if you plan on coming and I'll pass the info along to the shop.

I was there yesterday. They're really itchin to do some turbo setups... if anyone's interested get in touch with either me or them, cause they'd like to get working on some more tCs!

what kinda price we looking @ for a complete turbo purchase/install?

Im down for an auto turbo kit, if the price is right.

I think they said $5500 installed. I know you can get the turbo from a retailer for $4700shipped, so it seems like $700-$800 labor for the install, and they do VERY good work. Not a bad price at all.

And they will do an install on an auto. I believe Turbonetics came out with their auto kit fairly recently. I'm not sure if pricing is the same, but it shouldn't be too far off.

Yeah it definitely is a new car once you slap a turbo on it... :)
