Default Too much$$$$?

So I went to test drive a 07 tC today and when we got back we discussed prices. Long story short he told me if I put 3,000 down my payments would be 450-460 a month to lease! My dad will be co-signing with me and ****, I didn't think it would be that much money! How much do all of you guys pay????
Thanks,
Dave

its because you are leasing... why not buy the car outright... that way you can mod it up all you want with no regrets... you could even finance for as much as like 6 years now...

I thought that it was cheaper leasing instead of buying?

not necessarily...on lease ur paying more interest so that they can get rich. I got mine for a total of around $22,000. I put nothing down and i am paying 380 a month for 5 years...it also helped that my credit rating is pretty great!

Wow that seems high. I put down 6000 and my payment to buy was like 290 a month for 6 years. I will pay it off in 5 though thats the plan. I had a lot of extras on my car too though.

I financed $19k and change, put down like $500 or something. I got the loan from my credit union so I save 0.25% by having them automatically take the payments from my checking account, as well as having them do it bi-weekly(when I get paid). Every other friday, they take $166.54

Bone stock (not any more) w/floor mats (like it really was an option), no down payment, 326.00 a month.

By the way, forgett all the acc. Save your money and purchase them online at a later time and do the install yourself. Way cheaper!!

Would have been $299 but got GAP and wheel/tire insurance.

I put down $5500. I have A+ credit (780 at my last check I believe). Loan rate is 5.65%. Only paying $240/month for 5 years. I'm actually paying more like $360 a month to get it done quicker.

Leasing is for people who want to have a car for a short period of time, they may want to drive a new car every few years. If you're planning on doing that, then go lease, but if you are going to keep your scion for a while then just go and buy it. I've had a few relatives who started out leasing a car, and then just decided to buy it off. they ended up paying more than if they had just bought it from the start.

when my '02 civic was totaled the other driver's insurance paid 12,000 for it, 4,000 went to the rest of the loan. So with that all said I put down 8,863 and got a loan (not at the dealership) for 10,000 for 4 years paying 230 monthly.

I have fairly bad credit due to living on credit cards through 2 years of college and missing a payment here and there. So i got jacked through Toyota Financial for 15% but i plan on refinanacing through my credit union in about 9-12 months.

I figured it all out and if i went 5 years @ 15% (434) i would save close to 4k than if i saved 30 a month and went 6 years @ 17% (400)

My payments are 434.xx a month, and i financed ~18,400.

Yea im paying out the @$$ for my tC but i LOVE it...
