VSC, Traction Control, & Engine Warning..ALL Lights On.H
Hello:
I've had my 2006 xB since Nov '05. It has about 8000 miles on it. Currently, I'm on vacation right now, and drove it about 800 miles. Up until yesterday, it was flawless.
I started it up and the VSC, Traction Control, and Engine lights came on.
I turned it off, and restarted it, but they came on again. I still drove it, and everything seems to be okay, except for the lights. So now, I'm about 800 miles from home, and not sure of the closest Scion dealership (I'd rather go to my hometown dealer).
I will have to bring to the dealer when I get back, but has anyone had this problem before?
I'm worried driving this thing home...
Kind Regards,
HB VJ

I had a similar issue with my 06, The problem I had either caused slightly advanced or retarted timing which did not harm the car... yours could be different.

My brides box did the same thing @ 15,000. Turned out to be the cam gear.
Big fix, but it was ok to keep driving it untill the parts came in.
I would stop by a Scion dealer to have them code it to be sure its OK.
It may be something that can wait untill your back home, than again maybe not.
CYA when it come to warraty stuff.

My wife came home last night and said that all three lights were on. I took it to the dealership this morning. I called them and they said that the gas cap was loose. They are still looking at it. They better not charge me $100 for this. I will be seriously pi$$ed.
damn... there are so many posts with so many stories with so many ways of fixing the issues and now, so many who have took it back to the dealership.
well, mine is also on and it idles like crap and once reached 3000 rpm, it boggs.
did anyone experience this?
I took my batt terminal off to clean the corrosion and after I was done, termonal cables back on and this all started to happen. The car will run, I had to drive it to work and back today but I like said, it bogs after 3000 rpm.

All new cars are controlled by computers. When something goes out of whack, they'll light up the idiot lights. As someone said, there are lots of possible reasons.
The only way to find out for sure is to hook up the code reader and see what the computer thinks is wrong with the car. That is the only way you'll know for sure. Many car parts stores will do that for you free of charge.

Mine is in the shop right now, the timing chain is off "3 or 4 teeth" that is what the service guy told me, and said it is a 12 to 15 hour job to fix. so now i have an 06 highlander for a couple of days.
ok guys, I went Advandce Auto here in va beach and they scanned my puter for free. it provided the following errors.

Do you think you could have shorted out the MAF or hit it when you did the battery cleaning. I have heard of people that fried it when they installed their intake.

the car is starting up fine, after like 5-10 seconds after starting, it starts to idel low and you can hear the intake breathing, well more like gasping for air. the car will run on the road but it is VERY slow since I can not go over 3000k rpms once I reach 3000 and go over the engine will bogg and will not allow me to rev over 3000 rpm.
