TongMan 08-24-2006, 05:02 PM bodykit!
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 05:03 PM whoa??? noooooo... never LOL :P
MJVsTC 08-24-2006, 05:14 PM ITS PERFECT! Leave it as is...but you may want to use duct tape for the neon :)
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 05:16 PM hmmm... i was thinking electrical tape :tap: decisions decisions lol
MJVsTC 08-24-2006, 05:20 PM Bungy cords.
ScionizedRide 08-24-2006, 05:20 PM ITS PERFECT! Leave it as is...but you may want to use duct tape for the neon :)
yeah and add three more neons to each side
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 05:27 PM GENIUS!!!!
ScionizedRide 08-24-2006, 05:36 PM what bodykit did u get?
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 05:42 PM it's really clean and simple, the Buddy Club sides, Drifter 2 rear and m3 front, I was supposed to prototype one for a company but that fell through, and I already shipped out my old m3 bumper so I had to order one from viniati
ScionizedRide 08-24-2006, 05:44 PM that's gonna be sweet....cant wait to see it all done!
RedLine_tC 08-24-2006, 05:45 PM cant wait to see this combo...3 different styles of body kits into one combo :D...
i like the m3 front bumber, and the buddy club sides, the drifter rear is alright, but lets see this put together
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 05:48 PM yup, I'll be posting pics as they move along at the shop, I actually work right down the street :) So I can seee them tear her down and put her back together whenever I want lol... I was thinking about throwing a Kaminari spoiler in there and an APR splitter for the front but waddya think about that???
RedLine_tC 08-24-2006, 05:49 PM that would look pretty good..you keeping it SW??
MJVsTC 08-24-2006, 05:50 PM http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/party/party-smiley-048.gif
I can't wait.
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 05:52 PM yeah for now, still adding to the piggy bank, first I need to buy some blizzaks for winter and then replace my old rims (long story blew my engine had to sell my SC and rims to get a new one  ) and lets not forget turbo :)
I hope sometime next summer to have it a new color, I'm letting some other people be the guinea pigs first when it comes to colors on the TC
ScionizedRide 08-24-2006, 05:54 PM i like the APR splitter, im gonna put it on my car if i get cf hood.....dont know about the kaminari wing, see if it'll look good after the bodykit is on.
good luck! keep us updated on the progress
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 05:55 PM will do...
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 07:30 PM here are pictures off the items that are going on
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/ab_1.jpg
This is the rear bumper...So simple and so sexy :)

These sideskirts: Picture courtesy of ROLSTC (Thanks)
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/Scion_Tc_M3_a.jpg
And this front bumper, however mine will have the OEM grille up top and cut the OEM grill to fit the bottom also. I will also have mesh in the fog areas to match if someone wants to sell my their lower OEM grille :lalala: :lalala: :lalala:
BuddhasTC 08-24-2006, 08:43 PM i cannot wait to see the finale!!
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 08:44 PM thanks!!1 I'll be sure to post progress pictures...
Neothin 08-24-2006, 09:18 PM please make sure that you take pictures AFTER the grilles have been inserted :P
i always think it looks ghetto when bodykits are installed w/o grilles in them
tc2nut4 08-24-2006, 09:20 PM hmmm... i wonder where I could find a OEM upper grille???? :lalala:
I owe you Neothin I appreciate that, but of couse I will do that for you, wouldn't want you to vomit or anything lol

tcholic 08-25-2006, 02:25 AM cant wait to see the outcome, in my opinion though i think that the e46 m3 front looks way too rounded to match up with the drifter rear and bc sides
tc2nut4 08-25-2006, 02:42 PM hey I'm open to criticism and atleast you kept it constructive :P But it was hard to find a REALLY simple kit, the TRD lip just didn't do enough for me and the RS1 kit just didn't fit or flow all that well, I love theM3 front however the sides and rear to that kit are horrendous. The drifter 2 rear is by far my favorite though, its so clean hopefully it all works out. You're right I debated for a while about the BC sides, I had the drifter 2 sides but bleh fitted terrible and didn't mount flush it came up onto the front fender and I don't like that at all...
Keep the comments comin, hopefully I'll be able to take soem more pics today...
chrischoi 08-25-2006, 03:24 PM i got something coming for you...
tc2nut4 08-25-2006, 04:38 PM uh oh chris, watcha got for me lol...and krazykustomz stop jacking people's threads, this is the third thread that I've seen that you've jacked...
ScionizedRide 08-25-2006, 09:10 PM x2....krazykustomz wrote exactly the same thing in my thread.
it would be ok if he at least gave some input on the topic that was discussed, but using my thread to advertise... :eyebrow:
1ahBSP 08-25-2006, 10:24 PM krazykustomz youve jacked too many threads and lost all respect from me and 2 friends on the site, there will be no business done with you now. think before you spam....
toeveryhour 08-25-2006, 10:45 PM Oh sweet! I can't wait to see pics!!
witelite 08-26-2006, 12:31 AM :D Excited

http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/DSCN0844.jpg
Look at that sexy ___ lol
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/DSCN0846.jpg
A little bit of fitment issue on the sides of the rear bumper :nails: I knew better than ordering from extreme dimensions why didn't I listen to myself
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/DSCN0847.jpg
Even worse of the left side :(
TCpete 08-28-2006, 07:21 PM ehh.. not impressed.
semaJames 08-28-2006, 07:27 PM i feel the same, just didnt want to burst his bubble
MeatRocket 08-28-2006, 07:31 PM hey tc2nut4 let me know what body shop and how much it cost to install the kit and paint.im ordering a wide kit for my tc soon. thanks and looking good.
tc2nut4 08-28-2006, 07:55 PM just for the record... they are going to fit it and make sure its done properly lol. I would never disgrace my car without properly fitting a kit, I guess I should have mentioned they were going to fit it right in the above pics haha, but they tell me that it will be seamless with the body lines when they are done, but its going to run me an extra $250 for labor to add and remove the fiberglass to fit the contours. I'd personally vomit if I ever saw a car with that poor of fitment driving around. Ed I can't really say what its going to run because I am getting the chips in my hood fixed, the minor ding in my quarter panel and also fixing my door jam that the previous owner scraped up when he got locked out with his hanger  :tap: But for all the body work I just did it is going to run me like $1200 bucks...
TCpete 08-28-2006, 09:45 PM i feel the same, just didnt want to burst his bubble
 well someone had to be honest. OEM FTW! but to each his own i guess.
tc2nut4 08-28-2006, 10:16 PM yeah to each his own... thanks for your well thought out opinion though I could tell it took you hours to come up with that... Its cool though some will like it some won't, I'll chalk you up to the don't like it category
MJVsTC 08-28-2006, 10:51 PM Sadly, some Civic owners would leave the C-clamps on and call it finished, but it's going to look sick when it fitted and painted.
chrischoi 08-29-2006, 12:25 AM i'm telling you. those seats would be sick in your car.
Jessicagmz 08-29-2006, 10:42 AM I bet it's going to look great when fitted and painted....can't wait to see the finished product.
tc2nut4 08-29-2006, 01:35 PM Just an update here are some pics from this morning at the body shop and the fit so far. They said they have a little bit more to do yet but as you can see its MUCH better... sorry about the quality, my camera died so I had to use my cell phone :(

tc2nut4 09-01-2006, 04:57 PM However there are problems with the sideskirts, which has now become my winter project :tap: I guess I'm going to mold them in because this will do for now, but definitely not going to cut it for next spring...

tc2nut4 09-01-2006, 05:00 PM This is whats going on with the front and rear bumper. The front bumper has grilles for the foglight area and top grille which was supposed to fit the OEM grille but I guess someone screwed their mold along the process :tap: The rear has been painted and needs wet sanded and buffed, and then I get my car back just in time for the rain
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/SSPX0050.jpg
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/SSPX0048.jpg
Not sure what I'm going to do for the lower grille, I was hoping to fit a sheet of plastic honeycomb material like factory but i can't seem to find it anywhere. Not even sure what its called but if anyone has any ideas I'm open to suggestions. For now it's going to have the black stainless stell honey comb mesh, but everything behind it has been sprayed black so it won't be too bad. I was also thinking about getting another lower OEM grill and cutting it to fit INSIDE the bumper and put a thin strip of robber around it and screwing it in some how. The OEM lower grille is long enough but its not quite tall enough leaving me a 1/8" gap that I'd need to seal and I think the rupper strip could make up for that. We'll have to see, so if anyone has the OEM lower grille I'll take it off your hands haha... I also have projector fog lights that I'll be putting in when i get the car back from the shop.
witelite 09-01-2006, 05:10 PM its looking nice...
i wouldnt let leave the side skirt like that though.
surely they can fix it!
L4rry_B1rd 09-01-2006, 05:15 PM I have a OEM bottom grille. Hit me with a pm
tc2nut4 09-01-2006, 05:15 PM yeah, they said they can, by molding or adding and removing fiberglass like with the rear bumper but this paint work already ran me about $500 over my original invoice, so I'll add some more money to the piggy bank and fix it with my December commission check. I had to pull money from my turbo fund to finish this part of the project :(
rolstc 09-01-2006, 05:24 PM However there are problems with the sideskirts, which has now become my winter project :tap: I guess I'm going to mold them in because this will do for now, but definitely not going to cut it for next spring...

I TOLD YOU !!!!!!! thats exactly what my skirts looked like and every other buddy club 2 skirts. Im getting them fixed properly
My cars been back in the shop for 2 weeks now and i'm picking up my car today. So those skirts better be fixed properly along with the rear and front bumper.
davedavetC 09-01-2006, 05:25 PM nice. u pickin the car up today :P i didnt read it all i just like pictures lol
chrischoi 09-01-2006, 07:40 PM you'l lhave it for the next meet right>?
tc2nut4 09-01-2006, 10:00 PM rolstc lemme know how much they charge you to fit those beeyatches
MeatRocket 09-02-2006, 12:04 AM hey thats apple body shop! right?
tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 01:50 AM no... thats automenders
MJVsTC 09-02-2006, 01:54 AM I hope you aren't paying too much for labor. Lefty's droppin' ashes on your bumper.
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/SSPX0053.jpg
randode 09-02-2006, 02:03 AM please dont mold the sideskirts. it will crack. no matter how well its adhered, glued, or screwed, they always crack. just file and fill until you have a clean uniform gap. It will turn out much more pro looking, and will stay looking nice. other than that, looking good.
tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 03:36 AM yeah thats what i was thinking, i'm just gonna have them add and remove glass as necessary... probably do that within the next few months, if they would have told me how they fit I would have had them do it now, but since I'd have to pay them to sand, re-prep, lay the glass, let it set blah blah blah I don't have the fundage right now lol
sciontc313 09-02-2006, 04:11 AM watching!
davedavetC 09-02-2006, 04:36 AM is it done? :lalala:

ROFL
on a side note:i think you helped me decide on just the rs1 cf lip kit.
tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 12:29 PM glad i could help :P Yeah if only veilside made a kit for our car, than that thing would fit perfectly
I miss my veilside kit
tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 12:30 PM On another side note about the rs1 lip kit, I know the sideskirts need some attention on that kit as well, so set aside some extra cash for labor there. Just giving you a heads up
tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 04:36 PM Well ladies and gents, here she is in all her glory (minus the stock rims lol)
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/SSPX0070.jpg
As you can see they got a seamless fit for the rear

tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 04:40 PM someone was supposed to call me monday about that :lalala:
andino 09-02-2006, 04:42 PM thats awesome! now you need to turbo so you can have that hole filled with an intercooler :D
tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 04:59 PM thanks :) I loved it too, they have a couple minor things to fix but other than that its pretty much good to go
P.S. I have a grille getting made to go int here til the turbo goes on, and I'm also moving that neon, the shop couldn't find anywhere to mount it but i'm pretty creative I'm sure I can dream up somethin lol
andino 09-02-2006, 05:04 PM lol sounds great! i can't wait to see it finished GL
davedavetC 09-02-2006, 06:16 PM looks good. :) i agree with the others that that bottom needs to be filled  but it looks like somethin is weird with the top grill.. and i think some M3 foglights would looks sick :P
MJVsTC 09-02-2006, 06:23 PM Just in time for Ernesto.
I can't wait to see some Evo 6's on there. Are they backordered like the 5's?
kdog_1981 09-02-2006, 06:36 PM looks good so far!! good job!
tc2nut4 09-02-2006, 07:06 PM yeah, friggin rain wtf lol... anywho dave its looks crooked, thats what i thought buts its because the car was parked one angle, i was another and i was using my cell phone for pics... looks ok in real life lol
Prototype_xB 09-02-2006, 10:31 PM :(
I just don't think the M3 style bumper flows. Had to say it again
tc2nut4 09-03-2006, 01:37 AM its ok, we all have our own tastes, i respect you for being tactful about it :P lol its all good. Matt the evo 6s will be here tuesday and my corbeau seats are now in :)
MJVsTC 09-03-2006, 01:39 AM Nice.
Are they Chris' Corbeaus?
tc2nut4 09-03-2006, 01:40 AM yup
MJVsTC 09-03-2006, 01:42 AM Sweeeeeet.
tc2nut4 09-03-2006, 01:44 AM yup, i'm still adjusting the harnesses, skinny tall fuks like me weren't meant to have racing seats lol
MJVsTC 09-03-2006, 01:46 AM Psssh. Tell me about it. I need rubberbands to hold me in.
tc2nut4 09-03-2006, 01:51 AM i'm trying to figure out a way to SAFELY shorten the straps, and then i gotta figure out how to turn off the air bag light so that my bags will work... I'm too lazy to search right now, I'm sure its on this forum somewhere
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 02:22 PM Here's another update. It now has the fog lights and a custom grill installed. You can't see the seats though. Tomorrow when I put the Evo 6s on I'll have a mini photoshoot with it and you guys can give me the final eval lol...
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/SSPX0075.jpg
Only Complaints.... so far:
1) Sideskirt fit
2) WTF is wrong with my top grille????? Its shorter on one side than the other
RedLine_tC 09-04-2006, 02:50 PM is it me or do the colors look different, lilke 2 different whites??
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 03:00 PM i think its my phone, it just doesn't pick up on the colors well since the lens is so small...
RedLine_tC 09-04-2006, 03:08 PM thats what i was figuring, lens on a camera :D
but other than that its looking good man..how much it cost you total to w/ all the peices and paint??
call me when you get your stuff all on, I know a good place in wrightsville for some pics
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 03:14 PM pieces and all... Hmmmm I had some extra body work get done so it's kinda hard to say but ball park like $1800-$2100 for paint and pieces not counting my extra work...
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 03:15 PM call me when you get your stuff all on, I know a good place in wrightsville for some pics
Will do, my rims come in tomorrow, I gotta find a place to mount and balance them pretty cheap :nails:
MJVsTC 09-04-2006, 03:15 PM The top of the bumper (above the grille) looks warped. If you look at the line between the bumper and the hood you can see why the grille looks "shorter" on the left side. I don't know anything about bodykits so I can't give any advice on how to fix it, but it's really not that noticable.
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 03:15 PM I was bored in photoshop... here's another

MJVsTC 09-04-2006, 03:17 PM I can't wait to see the Evos.
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 03:18 PM yeah I think i'll love it then lol. Then I might actually bother to take out my digital camera and use that instead of my friggin cell phone lol
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 03:20 PM http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/SSPX0081.jpg
And yet another shot, notice the stockies lol. They are almost bald, one has a nail, another has a screw, and they are filthy, can you tell i'm anxiously waiting for my Enkeis to come in lol???
sciontastic 09-04-2006, 09:38 PM http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/SSPX0067.jpg
The sideskirts and rear bumper flow together pretty well but I'm really not sure about the flow with Tury's M3 front bumper. I guess I'd have to see it personally.
Considering the body parts you have chosen as a mixed combo, I kinda know the direction you're going with your cars setup. You seem to want the sophisticated look rather than the totally aggressive look. Aggressive is good but, in my opinion, too much of it doesn't look all great on TC's. Yours is a clean setup that I like and I may be doing the same setup but without the M3 front bumper. I'm thinkin' about the viniati fierce lip front bumper.
http://viniati.com/images/viniati/viniatifierce_a.jpg
It flows yeah?
Well I'm glad you're car was the guinea pig. Glad I came across this on this site.
SCIONLIFE RULES!!!

tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 09:42 PM glad i could help. The fogs lights are now in and a custom grill is now in the lower grille and IMO it looks a 1000x better.
But you're right, sort of wanted a simple clean look without all the craziness. I think the front lip looks nice when its molded correctly. Good luck
sciontastic 09-04-2006, 09:47 PM Damn, that rear bumper makes the stock wheels look puny.
Get more pics. with your digital camera when it gets sunny down there.
tc2nut4 09-04-2006, 09:53 PM I should get some time tomorrow with the digital and my enkeis on...
MJVsTC 09-04-2006, 10:48 PM It's supposed to rain in the AM :(
tc2nut4 09-05-2006, 12:01 AM WTF????!!!! Why tomorrow??? I get my purrrtyy rims put on tomorrow....
MJVsTC 09-05-2006, 12:27 AM Hopefully by the time you get them mounted it will have stopped raining.
Yanki01 09-05-2006, 01:33 AM looks pretty good? Would look better when rims are on!
MJVsTC 09-05-2006, 10:15 PM So much for sunny pictures in Wrightsville. :(
tc2nut4 09-05-2006, 10:38 PM yeah really... io got my rims sitting in the back of my car, can't find anyone that will mount and balance "custom" rims
MJVsTC 09-05-2006, 10:48 PM Are you serious!?
Make sure you find someone who knows what they are doing so that you don't get scratched wheels. My stock wheels were all marked up from day one...I guess some idiot at the factory didn't know how to balance rims and tires.
Did you get the hyperblack Evos?
tc2nut4 09-05-2006, 11:13 PM yessir
hypermac99 09-05-2006, 11:34 PM http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k30/tc2nut4/100_4502.jpg
I got scared when I saw this shot...it looked like you put a big a$$ wing on your tC.
What kind of paint are they using? I dont like the fact that they are burning it in up top. I know with the brand we use (sherwin williams automotive) it always shows up later on and looks like hell no matter how much you polish it. But good luck.
tc2nut4 09-05-2006, 11:38 PM hmmm not sure off hand what paint they used... i know it wasn'y SWA... please elaborate on "burning it in"
hypermac99 09-06-2006, 12:10 AM hmmm not sure off hand what paint they used... i know it wasn'y SWA... please elaborate on "burning it in"
Burning it in or Melting it in, which ever you want to call it is what you do when you dont paint from the qtr panel all the way over the roof rail down the windshield post.
you basically tape it off like in the pic above and you stop your cleacoat just short of the paper. Kinda like when you blend basecoat but with the clear so its a little dry. Then you take your blend solvent(which burns it in/melts it)(SWA uses a product called BS10) and spray it over the the dry spray of the clear coat and it basically melts it in with the old clear. When its done right it doesnt look bad at all but will show up later down the road. It will look like dry spray. Im not sure if other paints like ppg or sikkens or dupont do it but i know that sherwin does this. Hope this helps.
tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 12:11 AM thanks... i'll ask, i'm going in tomorrow to have them do a better mount of the passenger side sideskirt
SiknesS 09-06-2006, 08:11 AM just to add.. i see you got that gap going on your hood and front bumper...
Make sure you use the stock bracket from the stock front bumper... it'll push up that gap and gap will be no more..

tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 08:22 PM yeah i know they do.... thats kinda why i like them lol
Sexy!!! What kit is that? Looks like an M3 front end.
tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 08:26 PM Thanks!!! Its a mis of kits: Viniati M3 Front, Buddy Club 2 Sides, Drifter 2 Rear
Nice, I love the front. It really takes a second look to make sure it's not an M3. How low are you from stock? Any thoughts of getting the Viniati wing?
tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 08:38 PM i never really measured before installing but i'd say 1.5"-2" is my best guess. No Viniati wing for me... maybe the kaminari one down the road but for now I gotta save for some more body work and a turbo
318_tC 09-06-2006, 08:39 PM is it me or does the fitment look off
tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 08:39 PM it is a little... thats the other body work comin up lol
Nick06tC 09-06-2006, 08:42 PM Looking good. Those fog lights fit PERFECT!!
Only complaint with the front is where the top grill opening is, it doesnt look symetrical. Maybe its from the picture being resized to put on the website.
tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 08:43 PM no its off... i haven't talked to Viniati about it but I am going too... If anything I expect partial reimbursement so I can get the shop to fit it the rest of the way... I'm a poor college kid lol so unplanned expenses hit me like a freight train :(
Nick06tC 09-06-2006, 08:50 PM Deffinetly have them do something. It would suck for them to say return it tho.
tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 08:53 PM i'd tell them to eat $hit and pay for the shipping both ways, and tho repaint it lol... and pay for the tickets i'd get driving around with no bumper

dieselstation 09-06-2006, 11:33 PM heh heh your's has a prettier picture haha... does yours have that sag in the grille area too???
yeah it does. and also the gap between the hood and the bumpter. but it's not too bad after putting the CF hood on. I also notice that the side "clips" that sit right under/behind the lights don't stay clipped on very well.
tc2nut4 09-06-2006, 11:38 PM yeah ditto... i've had to pop mine back in already...
Yanki01 09-06-2006, 11:41 PM now thats what im f*cking talking about!

yeah. everyone should use IRFANVIEW! it's the best damn image viewer out there! it's fast, has tons of features, and it's FREE!

just make sure you use the "RESAMPLING" option if you resize an image to keep it crisp and clear without jaggies.
