Im on Stechs and hate using the stock jack. Anyone know where I can get a jack for lowered cars? My jack wont fit under the car

 

it's called a couple blocks of wood.

 

i have an aluminum racing jack that works well with my basics, but they're not lowered all the way.

 

Harbor Freight has some great aluminum low profile racing jacks...

Almost any car parts place can get you a low profile jack...

 

i saw a some good low profile jacks at Sears..

Harbor Freight is a great store for the novice mechanic. Extremely cheap, medium to low quality tools. But you don't need the best if you only use them once or twice. I love that store. Its like a ghetto Sears.

this is what i got. no regrets. has a tray for lug nuts, and bar padding (so it doesnt scratch the car's paint).
I bought the sears jack because my harbor freight jack broke after 2 months.

This slides right under to the jack point near the oil pan. I dont need wood blocks even with a lip kit.

Im dropped on Stechs and I use the craftsman one linked above.

 

Pick up a 2"*10"*6' and cut it up into ramps. Works great!! I changed my oil with just the ramps. Now my regular jack works fine. Cost $8.00.

 

for a good jack it will cost you a pretty penny

 

the $100 or so i paid for the craftsman is well worth it. I tried the cheapo $20-$40 jacks before which was a complete waste of money (didnt fit without using stock jack first and felt like it was going to give out), shouldve just got the better quality to begin with.

 

what does a jack and stechs i assume springs have to do with anything?

novice question i know.

stechs have a pretty low drop compared to most of the aftermarket springs for the tC: 2.4 front/2.0 rear and the original post was finding an appropriate low profile jack that would fit under the frame to jack up the car.

 

My $50 jack has been great so far, just not with the slammed tC. The wood blocks work great!!
