Default Short Throw shifter

I know that there are many many threads on short throw shifters for the xa, however since there are so many threads ive given up on searching for my answer. also searching for my answer, i found some great questions to bring up.
i would like my first "major" mod to be a short throw shifter. the TRD model is too much money, so i would like to go with another manufacture. which one have you guys had luck with??? my other question is ive seen alot of people saying that if you shift the tranny too fast, your syncros will explode and Scion may be hesitant to fix it. does anyone recommend to stay away from short throw shifters? im hopung it would get rid of some of the notchy feeling the stock shifter has (especially when the tranny is cold)

I've heard very good things about the B&M short shifter but I don't personally have it. LastLookCustoms has a B&M for sale in the classifieds for cheap.

I do highly recommend the metal shifter bushing being sold in sponsored sales by Coresports. I installed these in less than 20 minutes and the improvement in shifting is great. Cheap mod with big results.
