next best thing to do????
ok, so the only thing i did to my tC is put a k&n intake in it because it was free. lol.....but i got some money up now and i want to know what the next best thing is to do to the motor. and since i really dont want to do forced induction.......can u get ur car really fast without a turbo or supercharger???
Cheapest HP for the $$$ is probably the lightweight crank pulley. It will give you roughly 10 hp and 10 torque. $130ish for the pulley and you can install yourself most likely. Otherwise, the flywheel is a great optionn too. $350 + install, so it isn't as cheap at the pulley. It will yield about the same hp/tq as the pulley will. It will also help reduce that hesitation/jerking from launch that our car is known for.
The NST crank pulley or full pulley set would be a great idea, a Fidanza flywheel is a good idea too, but will cost you a lot more compared to pulleys. You can also try adding a header or exhaust to get a few extra ponies to the wheels.
a monster motor works header is the best in hp it makes almost 30 hp and tq they are not cheap but they are the most hp you can really do but you can get them cheaper on this web site for about 565 shipped instead of 750 plus shiping like the mmw website sais promotiontunning.com,
you can also get the best hp gains from a draxas exhaust but thats not cheap either,
the best intake is an injen and ill tell you why because i have a k&n cai and its not the best but it gets the job done for almost 5 hp less and 6 tq less the horse power gains on an intake are on a dyno the top intakes sold for a tc are k&n drop in, k&n cai, injen cai, injen sr, and fujita, the web site is https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=92108 the pulleys that do best are nst on nonstoptuning.net and the crank pulley alone frees up 10 hp for $160 then you can also get the light weight water pump pulley thats $88 dolars and the alternator 20% overdrive for also 88 or the package for 160 for the two and you will also free some extra hp there im not sure about the grounding kit(voltage stabilizer kit) because they say it helps in throttle response but i havent tried yet if any more questions just post them would be happy to help
rs1 2063 K&n cai hks titanium exhaust, no resonator, 4 alpine type r 6.5, 2 type r 10, mmw header ingalls engine damener nst pulleys and a trd temp on the way

i'd say if your gonna choose some pulleys, then go with NST. check em out at www.nonstoptuning.com and you can also a reach an NST rep on AIM. there sn is NSTonAIM. they'll be happy to answer any questions for you.
