Got my xA and have ????
Hello all, I got my first "economy " car yesterday. I was looking for a month and the xA is the best I could find and to tell the truth I would have paid a couple grand more due to the features that come as standard vs the competition.
What I feel is lacking though are the basic ones that I found lots of posts on. No Armrest, no keyless entry for example.
Has anyone done the alarm themselves? I am pretty good with electronics and installs, so I will do myself. If you have the basic prossess , please post such as where does it mount,? Is it "plug and play"? How long did it take ect....
Thanks, Jim

Congrats on the new Xa!!! I didn't do the alarm but the key less entry from scion specailties. Their instructions made the install a breeze. Pretty much plug-and-play. They also have full-on alarms the will most likey be just as easy to install.
I had my tint place put in a keyless entry system... even had them rig it up where the doors lock upon starting.
My armrest I picked up off of ebay... don't know if the guy is still on there making them, but it has awesome storage, and it looks good.

Very well made, and fits perfectly.

If your considering the factory keyless entry/alarm, go to a site like www.trdsparks.com.
I think they have the installation instructions on their site.

Armrest is $66 on www.scionpartspeople.com . Very easy o install. As for alarms check out www.scionspecialties.net , those are pretty much plug and play for the xA and xB.
