Thanks for taking time to hit up my post.

I need a really huge favor.

My buddy and I have been selected to race in the upcoming Spike TV Bullrun ( http://www.bullrun.com) Rally in October. This race is a special edition from LA to Vancouver, BC over 7 days. This is going to be televised on Spike TV and is sponsored and run by George Maloof, owner of the Palms Casino in Vegas.

There was a huge audition this weekend and it yielded NO contestants. So far my partner and I are the first team to be selected just by applying online and showing them film footage of us. If you want to try, you can click the link above and find the application but be aware that you need to have a co-pilot, footage of your team and vehicle as well as a free week off in October 2006. That's right... not much time left.

Obviously our team's vehicle will be a severe underdog but I have the CHP and TOYOTA on my side and expect to do fairly well because I am the ultimate freeway racer (just kidding). Even if my partner and I do not win, we will still have one hell of a story to tell.

Please help get me in contact with people that can fix up my ride a bit.

I am looking for tires, rims, exhaust (I have a Remus on order but it won't be here in time for the race), $$$ donations and gas cards. We have money but we will be racing against people with more money and more horsepower.

The cool part is that we have someone to take care of the tickets!

ok.. so you're car gets louder and your car has new wheels... but what would that sponsor get from it.
try making a proposal.

best bet is contacting them with a proposal.. not much else you can do but wait then..

 

i actually think this would be an easy way to get a sponsor from somewhere. They get tv time with their products. Thats alot better than most sponsored people do for their sponsors.

i just wrote out a proposal and have been calling/emailing everyone like crazy.

got Redline Oil and Super Autobacs signed on so far to hook me up with some goodies. plus, i rounded up about $400 in donations from work this morning.

to the poster who said this was more for personal gain.... you win the Captain Obvious Award for the week.

there is a reason for the time crunch as well. it's to see what the teams can put together in such little time.

as far the sponsors getting anything out of it... well, you tell me where the sponsors can purchase a week of TV time (don't forget the press every night in a differnt city) for a set of wheels or rims, exhaust , etc... oh yeah, don't forget about the replays of the show.

i was one step ahead of you with the proposal. (i race motocross and am familiar with how sponsorship and product requests work). i am just in a rush and this was the quickest way to get the word out. already trying to get in contact with the scion regional manager for SoCal.
