3 week old Tc actually held up pretty damn good compared to the other dudes car.. makes me feel a little bit safer driving around my Tc

 

Is that a GTO that's all mushed like that? Rhythmnsmoke might like to see that.

story behind the accident? that car has a huge wing...

well he was stopped at a intersection at a red light.. the dude was trying to make a left turn but i guess didn't realize the turn signal had turned red.. so my brother proceeded to go without noticing this dude barreling through this light. He said the guy was going bout 35-40 when they hit.
Both my brothers airbags went off (steering wheel and knee bags) so he walked away totally fine. But the guy who hit him had a totally shattered arm, he said it looked like there wasn't any bones in it..

 

Ouchh.

 

wow, well that makes me feel safe incase i ever get into an accident, plus im happy i have side impact air bags.

too bad the wing did not act like an airbrake like on airplanes.........its about the same damn size

 

Took me a while to notice that the other guy's still stuck in his car in the picture!

Like others, I saw the hoodscoops and thought "GTO." After another couple seconds I spotted the wheels, lame wing, and general lack of GTO-ness though.

 

looks like some axle/suspension work will have to be done too

 

Was it totalled? Doesn't look like it, but if you're planning on gutting the stereo, etc. it makes it sound like it was.

 

I belive he is claiming it is.. after the crash just about every fluid was leaking out of the car, including engine oil and transmission fluid.. so pretty sure the engine and body are pretty jacked up.

 

Airbags deployed as well.

 

airbags = automatic total

 

that's what I thought at one point as well until I saw all the people here whose airbags deployed and yet they got it "repaired" and they're still driving the same cars...

 

I think that guy needed a longer runway.

Glad to hear your bro is ok. From looking at the pics, I guess its safe to assume the air bag sensor is on the Passenger's side of the tC?
