Default i'm gonna be a proud new father...

this is my first post so bear with me... i just want to share my story

i signed up a while back with the intentions of getting a salvaged tC. but the guy that was fixing it kept dicking me around , so i said forget it and decided to spend my money elsewhere. soooooo...

i went to the scion dealership yesterday and today to test drive an xB. i love it. dont get me wrong, i still have love for honda, but this is going to fulfill everything that i'm going to expect from it. i'm currently driving a 2-door integra and i miss having 4-doors (my previous car was a '92 4-door accord), again, i miss the spaciousness of a bigger car, and i like the gas mileage of something of this size, especially since i drive roughly 60-70 miles roundtrip just to get to school and back whenever i have class.

now granted, i love everything about the xB except for the huge front bumper, i think it's still growing on me.

so my friend who works at the dealership ordered me an '06 manual Mystic Mica(?) Scion xB with the Ipod compatible radio and floormats. apparently it's getting the radio put in at the factory and will get to the distribution center here maybe by friday. then i will fill out all the paperwork and take delivery sometime next week (the sales manager told me probably by tuesday or wednesday)

as for now, i'm going to keep it the way it is. this is going to be my new daily driver and i'm so stoked about it.

oh yeah, btw, since i'm a guy, i need some help finding a name for my new girl any suggestions? hahaha

Thoughts of Belldandy will quickly fade after the first couple weeks in the xB. Give it time, the xB name will come when you least expect it.

i sure hope so... i never gave my integra a name. and i treated her like a ****, i used her and abused her. i guess i attributed that to never giving her a name. i feel so dirty for that. i guess thats why i'm so anxious to finding a name, because i dont want that to happen again hahaha

btw, thanks for making me feel welcome here

What dealer did you go to? Just looking for one that is going to treat me right, and one that won't screw up on the options.

i went to Joe Myers Scion, which is off of 290 and 1960 (like the northwest side of town on the way to austin). my friend works there, but it's a no haggle place, so there was really no bargaining. he just told me what was worth it, and what wasn't. pretty straightforward really

I officially named my The Tardis after someone mentioned it on this site a few weeks ago. But I honestly never call it that. My 2 year old son call's it "daddy's box", and I usually refer to it as 'the box'. It is ultra amusing to show it off to a friend for the first time, watch them try to find something nice to say, and then tell them: "I know, it's totally a box and I'm down with that".

A co-worker calls it the Munster mobile, because it reminds of the car on the Munsters. Another co-worker said it looked like a 50's delivery wagon, which I can see. Anyway most of this ^ probably belongs in a different thread. LOL
