View Full Version : Goldline Spring Install!
scionracerxb 11-25-2003, 10:21 PM Just went out to DB motorsports in Chino this morn to get my springs installed! They look Reeeallly sweet and it rides like a dream....almost like stock but a little smoother! 8) I am really pleased with the ride, and the service from jody and mike out a DB. I recommend them to all. Jody was real cool, and let me take photos the whole way thru...he probably could have finished it in about an hour...if it weren't for our yappin mouths..LOL..but anyways the springs and the install are only 200$..a real bargain for this quality of spring and install! Check out the pics at my site...

allblackxb 11-26-2003, 12:31 AM What wheels are those?
jjambox 11-26-2003, 01:18 AM how much lower does the rear get w/a full load(groceries, system, four girls)? is there sag?would tanabe's be better?
scionracerxb 11-26-2003, 01:35 AM the wheels are 18" r.s.s rims....if you do a search, someone on this board is selling a set for cheep!
it doesn't seem like it will sag at all, it rides just like stock...only better!

That looks Great scionracerxb!!
i gotta get me some of them Goldline's!!
and as for sag, Goldline's come with a lifetime guarantee! 8)
scionracerxb 11-26-2003, 02:23 AM yeah...they come with a great warranty..and the guy at the shop was telling me bout this guy that bought some for his civic and he said they didn't sit right, they called goldline, and the rep came out to make sure everything was cool...super customer service...it turned out that the guys car was crooked...like it was a salvage or somethin.
highend 11-26-2003, 02:31 AM Looks great! I'm gonna have to head out to DB and get some myself! Nice pics in the install section - i see your stock springs are black - mine are BLUE. Is that normal?
sensez 11-26-2003, 02:37 AM niice. i really want some.
if i do not have the rims yet.. is it okay or reccommended to install first?
will putting rims on later have any negative effect?
thanks.

scionracerxb 11-26-2003, 04:50 AM i think its better to have the rims first, cuz then you can judge how much you need to lower it, and if you will have enough room for the tires to clear. If you look on my site at some of the pics of it b 4, it had massive wheel gap, and those are 18's!., so i knew i had at least 2" of gap to get rid of. I probably could have lowered it more if i wanted. Just don't waste your money on the 1" drop. You wont be satisfied, you'll want more.
sensez 11-26-2003, 05:05 AM thanks..
im gonna go for 17s...
if i drop the car 2" now with stock wheels...
will i have difficulty with installing 17" wheels?
ie: somethings crooked or not functioning properly?
thanks.

scionracerxb 11-26-2003, 05:44 AM no, you shouldn't have any prob. since the stock tires are so small...theres a few guys in the club that have stocker wheels and have it dropped already.
BlueBox 11-26-2003, 07:04 AM Nice drop Scionracer,

Real nice and clean shop too.

yeah..i love that place...the nicest import shop i've seen and been to... awesome facility and nice showroom.
so were u the second xB Jody worked on?
did they cut the bumpstops?
BlueBox 11-29-2003, 11:16 AM did they cut the bumpstops?
yes...Bumpstops were cut for the front struts....without cutting them...u'll likely bottom out on a 2" drop.

i had the address...but lost it. It's off on Central from the 71N.
I suggest you call them...just to let you know..they don't operate on weekends... unfortunately.
I had to take a half day off just to get out there on the weekday...but it's surely worth it.
