I sold mine 4 months ago for $18000 with 600 miles on it on ebay; it has no additional option except floor matt.
Don't ask me about how did I make that much.
It was pure luck that soooo many people want my car.

I'm happy that I sold mine cause the lava is not so special anymore.
I mean everybody has Lava.

I plan on keeping my Lava for a long time! My kids are excited because they think that someday it will be their car. As far as "everyone" having a Lava - I haven't even seen another one in my area, so it may be that those markets that got Scions early also got a larger proportion of the Lava.

Only seen 2 other Scions here period. Both xB's. I believe I have the only one for a 100mi radius (lava that is). We still like the car, even if it #2106A.

I'm 6 ft tall, but I don't have problem with the car even with the trunk space.
:D
I got IS300, WRX, Celica 00, Scion xB, 93 and MR-s turbo, but I love S2000 the most.
Second, I love my WRX, and then I love my IS300 (its fuel efficient is worse than S2000 and WRX, but it is a great comfy family car)

I remember I saw several people sell their xB on ebay and on this forum.
If I'm not wrong, I think I see more than 10 people selling their lava.
They might not be here or checking this forum anymore.
I know some of em sold their xB for tC.

I bet that a bunch of people bought them hoping to make money offof them on ebay. Who cares if there are other ones around. I guess they can guarentee that there won't be more than 2100. I am in washington and there is a couple others, but alot more silver and white.

btw, I don't have the 93 MR2 turbo pictures at all since I digital camera wasn't out yet.
I mean all my scanned pictures are all gone when my computer crashed long time ago.

I have to agree about their being a bunch, we have around 5-6 in Stylewagons alone, not to mention all the rest in DFDub...

I still like mine though, I agree as long as there is only 2100 i'm cool.

to me, its just another color. Scion hyped up the limited edition aspect and the lava's sold fast. Some people might have bought into the hype, then realized they didnt want the car. others might have wanted to make a profit. It might seem like everyone has one, but if you think about it there are only 2100 lavas released in 24 states. assuming that all the lava's have been sold....thats roughly 87 lavas per state ( i know allocation is different for each state, besides the point.) I live in Va, and park next to a lava everyday, but since MD also got Lava's...there are theoretically 175 orange boxes in the area.

Why on earth would you sell a car after only 600 miles?

Uno1200mob
07-16-2004, 06:51 AM
probably because he owned it for 4 months and only put 600 miles on it. I have had mine for a month and a half and just hit 6k. Plus with the arsenal of cars he has, why keep what you dont drive?

one for each pair of underware.

I plan on keeping both mine for 10 years. I put a lot of miles on though, so in 5 I might sell the BCP and get the wife something new and run her lava into the cold hard earth from whence it came.

I am keeping mine and have no plan's on selling mine anytime soon.I have had mine for about 3 month's and have about 5500 mile's on it.I do not see many Hot Lava's in my area of Texas but when I go into Dallas I have seen a few.I mainly see Polar White,Blue Onyx Pearl,Thundercloud and 2-3 week's back when we were getting alot of rain when I was on I-30 guy pulled up next to me in a Camo. That was actually the first time I have seen a camo colored one and it was pretty nice that color to me is probably the rarest. We both looked over at each other and almost simultaniously gave each other a thumbs up sign. :D I usually only keep my car's for a couple of years but this could possibly be a keeper car that I have for a long time. 8)

Just sold mine. Only because we are buying a house. that was more important than having a 3rd play car right now.

I know where #1990 is being sold. A guy that owns the body shop by my house is selling his for $18,700.00. The MSRP was $18,700 something plus he added some wheels to it. If anyone is interested, he is in Texas.
