Default New xB owner w/ a general question

I bought a 2006 xB with 4,700 miles last week and am very happy. However, the xB didn't come with an owners manual!! Can someone tell me what it means when the blue temp light on the dash display comes on (for about 60 seconds) after I start it?

Thanks,

Its the coolant/engine temp sensor. It will stay on until the engine/coolant reaches a desired temp. Depending on the ambient temp and how long you let it warm up, this light will stay on.

Yeah, at first the blue light made me think something was up as well, but according to the interactive CD-ROM that came with my Scion (Did you get one of those?) the blue light is there because they removed the traditional engine-temp gauge to accomplist a more "minimalistic" look for the Scion. Also, overdrive is automatically disabled until the blue light goes off so the engine will warm up faster.

Well then! That pretty much covers the CD portion of our show!
