Default 06 Tc Compared To 05 WRX

Is there any way u can make a tC as fast as or faster than a WRX ?

Comparing the tCs 2.4 Liter 160hp 163 tq and heavy assed Chassis against the WRX's 227 hp and 217 tq. Is that even logical?

My friend had a 1998 Civic Dx 4-Door , I would destroy him everytime he even tried me , but now hes got this 05 WRX with a Perrin Turbo-Back Exhaust. Im afraid of even trying him cuz i think it would a retarded race. Other than Turboing the car theres no way of making it even remotely as face is there?

and if i even supercharged it through my dealer , i would still get eaten up by him correct?

Thing is i have a credit card , i can order a turbo kit , i just dont want to have to get into debt so i can feed my need for speed , right now i can beat random sorts a things like Focus , Neons , Regular Rsxs , Colbalts , Swapped Del Sols , and some swapped civics...i just want to get out of this class...and move up to the faster cars..

thanks for listening to me

get a turbo or SC because you want to. not because your friend has a faster car, thats lame. these cars are by no means race cars, you could have got a stripped down wrx for almost the same price (subaru TR edition) but you got the Tc. if you want the credit card debt just so you can barely whoop on your friends subaru then go ahead, but i think youll regret it.

not really sure how tCs do on top end but try and race him from a high roll. say from a 45mph, your chances increases the higher the roll is. stock rex's have poor top end
although you may still lose
good luck

only way in beating wrx's, sti's, evo's are by getting a turbo. zpi, for example, have videos of beating an STI with their stage 1 turbo kit.

Dude, stock WRX's are not that fast. I've gone up against 3 of em in the 1/8th mile. First was an 06 (2.5 liter) with a turbo-back exhaust. He beat me by about about 2 car lenghts and I was pulling on him. 1/4 mile would have been very close. Their AWD gives them a HUGE advantage off the line.
Then I took on a 04/05 (not sure) (2.0 liter). He took me by one car length. I was pullin on him hard, 1/4 mile woulda been tC ftw. Here's a video of the end of the race to prove it. That's me in the near lane.

Then I took on an 05 with an inexperienced driver. He didn't launch well (necessary for a WRX to be successful), and I massacred him. I'm talkin like 4 or 5 car lengths.

So yes, a tC can beat a WRX. All I have is the supercharger with the 9 psi pulley and a short throw shifter.

Boost is the only option, The 2azfe has great potential we just need more stuff to come out.

From a roll my supercharged tC will take a WRX with a decent win. From a dig, well thats a different story. Like someone said they arent that fast on a roll, but from a start, AWD is killer.

Oh, but the WRXs are so easily modified, that becareful what you tango with.

WRX's are simply beasts. no way an n/a tC can beat one. sure, some can claim that they keep up with them, but a win is a win, a loss is a loss. they get you by a nose, obviously its still considered a win.. they just lack driving skills. My friend has an STI.. pulls REALLY hard. i want one =\

getting boosted is the only way to give the WRX a challenge.

ditto

1 car lenght and 1-2gear spin with stock tire's

good top end power w/ those who upped the boost.

i hope people know that there is something called impreza rs or impreza 2.5i , that car even tho rare is a better comparison even tho awd.

I was told the wrx were not good at high speeds, so not good at top end.
I would go turbo, but a tc will not be able to take it stock vs stock, cause come on, a tc is 16 grand car, and its na, not turbo stock.

Thank you Very much peeps

does the AWD suck from a roll because of the power distribution on all four tires? or is it a gearing thing with the WRX my friend paid 18 for his 05 and i paid 22 out the door for mine , i wish my parents would have cosigned a used car .

Eh , i pay for the tC but i hate the fact that i have the slowest car out of my group of friends that i roll out to meets and stuff with.

you could have got a base model tc and SC'd it, instead of paying extra on the rs edition. 22 out the door? thats a lot more than what i paid

and AWD owns FWD in every way possible

at supercharged tCs beating WRXs.

With a supercharger you can keep up with a stock RSX-S, sure. But a WRX? The drive either couldn't drive worth ____ or you have no idea what your talking about.

Seriously though,

06 WRX stock - 14.1
Any tC - nothing close.

Did you happen to see that it was supercharged tCs beating them from a roll? I said I cant beat won from a stop. But from a roll YES IT CAN BE DONE. and has been done by alot of supercharged guys.

Oh yeah and get your numbers:

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX 5.7 14.4

So I am only about a car length off a WRX in the quarter mile. And thats on crappy 18"S. I run 14.7s not to far off from a dig.

People should check numbers before assuming.
