SC Owners with Headers: Is Jet-Hot enough?
Basically what the topic says. I have a supercharged tC and I just installed my Alphawerks headers with the Draxas exhaust. I had them coated with Jet-hot sterling, but my question is: Is it enough to prevent heatsoaking the SC and/or causing blown seals?
Has anyone fabricated a heat-shield for use with Headers? If so - I WANT PICS! lol

that's the problem - tough to find ANYONE in my area that has the SC with a stock exhaust mfd, plus I don't have a temp probe - so I'm hoping someone else has done the work

Nope. How accurate is it, and where do you get one? (Still, i'd need to find someone who has a SC around here and has the factory exhaust mfd.... but hey, this is a start!)
I don't think anyone else has JetHot coating, although some have their headers ceramic coated. You should have gone with the MC-15. It's good for 1700 degrees and insolates the best out oif them all, at least according to their technicians. It's what I have being done.

i have the catalog but the pix is for v type
I can take a pic. It was large, had to cut it down. Just looks like aluminum on one side and white fiberglass matt on the other. It is not for engine dress that is for sure, but it is totally functional and serves it's purpose.
Not my cup of tea but it might help in what you're looking into. I think it's still in the development stages and I'm not sure if you can order individual pieces or not...

Here's the link to the thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...tainless+steel
Maybe since this is in production though means I'm BSing just like before
Edit: fixed the link

I can try to "borrow" one of those laser guns a work....They are expensive (at least that's what the manager tell us
) I'll drive about 10 miles home-work and take it, but i'll be like 10 minutes to get a hold of the gun.... Where exactly you guys want me to check the temperature?
