Congrats :D I was looking into getting a set. I called up Hotchkis and they said it was like $369 + 40 shipping. I will be checking ebay soon.

i haven't bought the strut tower brace yet. does that make a big difference in cornering?

It makes a huge difference in the ride and handling of my Xb. It makes the car feel more grounded and rigid.

Did you install the swaybar yourself? Or did you go to the dealer? 8)

I bought the strut bar from Melody Toyota in San Bruno and had you (Stylis) did the install at Precision Muffler. :D

Go see Gabe at Precision Muffler if you also want One Ton Garage Spacers or installs on sway bars. He hooked me up 2 weekends ago and now my ride definitely tracks better and there is very little body roll.

I ran my Xb for 2 weeks with just the strut bar-no sways-you can definitely tell the difference. Installing the strut bar alone helps body roll very little but you will feel a difference if you pass a semi or are constantly hit by strong crosswinds. I bought my Xb without the strut or sways and ran around for a month before I decided to upgrade. To me it is well worth the money especially since I commute past SFO and have to fight some evil crosswinds everyday to work. Just my 2 cents :!:

i have a friend that works at a local shop, and he helped me install them. i'm not too mechanical, so he did most of the work. it actually went on pretty fast.
