OK...yes winter is coming and some of us people have to think if they want to drive our cars in the snow...SALT! no way! I am going to garage it for the winter and then make plans of what I am going to do when snow melts... I will save lots of money.... My g/f will drive me to work a whole 1.8 miles away...now I know you guys in the south have no problems with snow but hey...us people up north have to think twice about driving in the snow...
So who else is storing their car?

I don't have a garage but I do have an enclosed porch in the rear of the house which I will use to store my xB and of course I will use a car cover...
Currently looking for a winter beater, a Nissan of course...

leaving the car sitting is not reall a good idea it will start to rust. Oil or fluids in the moving parts actually help against rusting. if u keep the car parked for a while everything will rust little from drive axles, rotors, cylinder walls etc. make sure u drive the car couple times a week. not just run the engine but drive. and give it a good wash. even if there are no snow on the ground there will be salt left on the road from previous snowfall. cars are meant to be driven so drive it.

where u from?????? ok my car won't get rust from a few months in the garage...are u kidding me...obviously u have no idea what snow looks like...people own hot rods here and i am not saying a tc is one but i think storing them for a few months isn't a bad choice on my part or any one elses...

There's nothing like washing your car when the temperature is in the 30s. You get some funny looks.
Also, we don't need to forget that all of our Scions sat on a boat for a month straight out of the factory.
