Im not sure, but looking back I think I may have set a record for the quickest importation and registration for an XB in Ontario :) :blah:

5 business days -or- 7 days incl Sat/Sun/And labor day

START: (Purchase)
-Wednesday Aug 30th (3:00pm)
Purchased New 2006 Scion XB in NY State
Same day (6:20pm)
Dropped off Title at US Customs
Same day (6:30pm)
Crossed into Canada and paid my Duty, Excise, GST, and RIV Registration

-Went back home to work Thursday/Friday.
Friday Called RIV and got them to E-mail me my Form2

-Saturday September 2nd (6:30pm)
Saturday Drove back down to US Customs and had the Vehicle Inspected for Export, picked up my Original Title

-Tuesday September 5th (4:50pm)
Passed RIV Inspection form 1 stamped

-Wednesday September 6th (12:10pm)
Vehicle was registered in Ontario and Plated

This was done by working the system and not beliving everything you read online.

I made sure to call every person and or agency/organization that I had to deal with.. and made sure that we where all on the same page.

This may or may not work out for other people as some of it was at the agents discretion and my charm . :silly:


But it does show that it is possible.. may depend on what crossing as well.


I now have a 2006 Scion XB 5sp manual in Polar White (it only had 11miles on it )
