I'm a little confused. It seems like all you guys think the AC in the xA and the xB sucks balls. I have test drivin 4 different '05 xB's in 90-98 degree temps (I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico) and cranked the AC and thought it worked great! It cooled off an xB that had been sitting all day in 90+ temps in just a couple of minutes! Did they change something from '04 to '05, or are you guys expecting WAY too much out of these little cars. Just curious.

the 04 had a service bulletin on the A/C
the 05 probably had been fixed

I haven't taken my box in for my 3000 miles oil change yet. But I was curious, has anyone taken there vehicle in recently and did the service department take care of your A/C issue? And what are the other 'issues' that Scion/Toyota will fix? Anyone got the 'fix report'???

The AC in my 04 xB could be better, but I never did except some super AC system in an economy car anyway. It could be better, but I can live with it.

My Tahoe blows a lot colder than the Xb does. Maybe it's just because it's a smaller car with a smaller system.
the AC has a break in period, it will be much colder eventually
btw-what is this AC service? maybe i need to bring my xb for service

My Lava's AC has been blowing consistently cold since day one, and I've never really had a problem with it yet :)

Just to clear things up a bit. In the first 04 models the a'c system worked fine but the wire that was attached to the recycled a/c lever was not tight so when you turned your a/c lever to recycled it didnt compute in the back. Alot of people brought their 04 models in for the service dept to tighten this cable fixing the problem. Eventually they fixed this problem in Japan on the end of 04's and all 05 models. But yeah click on the link for the service bulletin to read more about it.

My GF"s 05 xB works very good and she lives out in the 110 plus degree Palm Springs summer weather. It doesn't take long for the xB to cool down and the coolness seems very consistent.

Some Scion xA and xB owners may feel that the A/C system does not blow cold
enough air. This procedure provides a method to improve this condition.
