This is truely one of the coolest light mods I've seen.

A little history:

Well... he did it! Not only does it look ultra cool, but if you get up close... you'll notice how clean of a job it is. Absolutely *NO* exposed wires at all, and the acrylic is flush with the ceiling.

u can tell the difference between DIY stuff and some professional engineer work!!!

 

I got to see it in person last sunday night, and I must say that I was very impressed!
Looks better than the interior lights in the skyline GT-R in 2fast2furious. :D

 

Now thats very inovative.....I like that cant wait to see it up and close..Great Job John

john is a very modivaded guy. he also has eye lids he made himself.

 

Yeah. He basically wired/soldered Blue LEDs with resistors in groups of 3 to PC board and then used acrylic tubing to house them and also to form end-caps. Then he placed the LED endcaps on each end of shaved acrylic cylinders (cut in half length-wise so it could rest flush against the ceiling.)

He tapped into the dome light for power which required pulling down the ceiling material so he could run the wires. Quite an ambitious project to say the least, but as you can see for yourself... it looks awesome. The pictures can't really do it justice.
