Default fixed

Hey, I just traded my xA in for a tC and I already have a prob...

I can't pull down my pass. window using the switch on the driver side ..

NO .. it is not locked ... the pass window can't be pushed down from the driver side period .. only my passenger can lower the window using his/her switch.

I noticed that the switch on the passenger side flashes and stuff =/

help?

Sounds like a defect...I would go back to the dealer on this one.

I fixed it ... it was cuz of that jamming mechanism that the tC has.

All I had to do was roll down the pass. window halfway then roll it back up and hold on the button for a few seconds .. then all was well .. thanx for help tho.

Could you clarify that a bit? I'm having the same issue, it'll roll down on the pass side swtich (but Auto won't work), but not the driver's side.

Hokay. This is going to be a HUGE issue for people upgrading thier speakers, and it scared the ____ outa me, and I'm an MECP certified installed with a few years of this under my belt. What you need to do to fix the power windows is this:

Roll the pass side up about halfway. Initially, it's not going to want to move at all - you need to give it a little push to get it started if it's all the way down. Once it's halfway up, stop, then pushing both switches up at the same time, roll the window up. This should solve it.

that procedure is called resetting the components... my friend just got her subwoofer installed by the dealer (at port installed prices) and i read through the installation manual and at the end they had to do that to reset all components after they disconnected the battery...

What other components, aside from the windows, did she have to reset?

just the windows and the moonroof... the moonroof you have it opened all the way, then hit close until it closes, holding it there for at least 2 seconds

Had a very slight squeaking nice over Fri and Sat, and was ready to take it to the dealership tomorrow, but it cleared up nicely today, so I was VERY relieved to NOT hear that (LOL!!).
