Default Another new tc owner

I finally did it, bought a new black 2007 tc with the only option the spoiler. I went in wanting to get the spec t version but i called 3 dealers and no one had one. It was hard enough to get them to understand what it was.

My friend knew the sales manager and he told me he couldn't change the price of the car but he could manipulate other numbers to get me a good deal.

I ended up paying $17,400 for the car, 698 dealer fee plus tax and got $400 for the college grad bonus and get this, they gave me $1400 for my trade in! My car was a piece of crap, they first offered $700 which was fair but i wanted to sell it privately for just under $2k, which could take a while.

The only bad thing was my credit, i thought for sure i was above 700 beacon score but i was a 678 and for toyota that was a tier 3 but my interest rate was still only 7.55 @60months which isn't too bad for tier 3.

Driving impressions:

I didn't test drive the car at all, i just drove it after i bought it, just like i did with my G35. I must say it is a little more peppy around town than i thought it would be. So far the only complaint is the seats, they are not that comfortable at all.
Steering is nice and the car is suprsingly smooth, more smooth than my G35.
Going through the drive through at chic fil a later on the window girl told me, "nice car".....all in all this is not too shabby of a car for the price!

i can agree about the seats. I had some bad lower back pain when i first started driving my tC. after a month or so of breaking the seats in though, it got better and now they're comfortable enough to make long highway trips with ease

That's strange. I have lower back pain and one of the things that sold me on the tC were the seats. Good seat cover material and more importantly, excellent lower back support.

I really don't have any pain, its just that they don't hold you very well. In my g35 and acura cl-s, it felt like the seat was litteraly holding on to you perfectly and you sink right in. The tc feels more like you are sitting higher, more on top of the seat.

Congratulations!
The seats killed me as well until I posted about them back in 05 and someone told me to take my wallet out of my pocket and put in the center console. Night and day difference, I kid you not. Btw....there's a thread "stickied" at the top of this forum for "I bought a new tC" posts:

I'm gonna lock this one.
