I think the hood really turned out well partially due to the fact that its flat white, so all the shadowing from the curves gets hidden because there is no gloss

SWEET! I've been thinking along those lines too! After seeing a lot of tc's with the mesh, they do look pretty good. I think it also has a lot to do with the mesh design also. I've seen some that just don't look good and that was my only fear, but these wheels don't give me that impression.

Regardless i'm painting the calipers and I'm planning on switching to slotted/drilled rotors too.

It's quite a possibility. Once one changes the turn signal to a clear or chrome amber, or hyper white I think that orange reflector throws the look off.

In the pics I was on S-techs and 225 tires, now I am on FF coils running the same height with 215s. I had to roll my rear fenders to keep my alignment less than 2 degrees on the rear. I dont like the nasty camber look.

Here are some pics of my new wheels and tire! Yes I know I need to go lower so please don't say anything. lol I'm going to get some BCs in the next month or two. But right now I am happy with the way it looks and that is all that matters!

Looks awesome man. Wow! Thats a really nice moderate looking stretch. Fitment is just right. You shouldn't need any camber. It's gonna look good dropped! Congrats..Tire Size?

The tire size is 225/40/18. I think generals run a little wider than most but I love the look. I didnt want much of a stretch. I can't wait to go lower but I want to get some quality coilovers and make sure I have the money to get my fenders rolled so I can do it right the first time. Im never going to be as low as some of these guys but i want to be right over the tire.

No that's exactly the stretch im going for. It looks great. Looking forward to the drop mane!

hey guys im thinking about buying me a set of rims and possibly getting a set of raceland coilovers and tein springs....i dont kno a lot about rims, what im looking for is a clean pretty flush look... i was wondering if you guys could give me some ideals on what size/offset/hub and all that i should go with to look the best i was thinking a set of 18x8 5x100 35mm offset what do you guys think? btw these are the 2 i was looking at getting let me kno what you think

Check what style lung nuts are required for VW wheels, they require lug bolts. I bought a set of aftermarket WagenWheels and had to hunt down spherical seat lug nuts.

^All that would be needed is a ball seat lug nut set if the wheel set is for/from a Euro car(somtimes).

ok....with the 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear on raceland coilovers do you all think i will have to roll my fenders or should i be ok?

there aren't many nice options for those if you are looking for a locking lug nut. I ended up with NAPA lug nuts. Some OEM cars offer these lug nuts but they aren't anything special

There are conversion spacers available that allow you to run a traditional "tuner" (conical seat) lug, but I would rather not put a washer between my wheel and lug.

kyowa 206 black with red lip 18x7.5 +45. weak setup. but hopefully 25mm spacers coming very soon.

Silver wheels retain the OEM looks/values. When they are clean the colors pop. *IMO* Black wheels look dirty even when clean, to each their own. Polished RPF1's make my butter melt! Double spokes FTW

what this man said! ahaha. but i got silver because i was a part of a group buy for them in 17x9, they are not stocked in 17x9 5x100... 17x8 will look much different from the ones i had in that picture. if it was my choice on finish i would have gotten them in SBC.

Hey guys. Here's my current setup. I know they aren't "high end" wheels, but I'm not a wheel snob and I just really wanted to go with something different that no one around me has on any vehicle. I'm in love with my wheels and I can't wait to go lower and get my spacers that I ordered to make me more flush.

18"x8" all around. Ti-17 wheels wrapped in 215/35 tires. Held on by matching neo-chrome Muteki lug nuts. Will get new tires with more stretch once I go lower later this season. This was just a starting point, as I'm new to the fitment game.

With that being said, here's what I got so far. Take a look and feel free to shoot me and feedback, whether you like or hate it!
