Ok, I truely feel I have located "my" (as I know everyone has a different one) rattle in my roof. I really dont have the funds, as I'm about to go back into school, to get either of the kaminari replacement roofs. But, I really want to see if I can try to fix it in the meantime.



What I want to know is if its possible to take off this black bar by unscrewing just the screws in the yellow circles? I think it is something in the red circles causing all the noise. So if I can get up in there by just taking out the four screws I'd be willing to take a look. I just don't want to take my head liner down only to find that it isn't possible to get that bar down without a lot more work. Merc_tc I hope you don't mind me using one of your pics.

Thanks for anyone's input, hopefully a few people out there have a service manuel handy and might be able to look up that part quickly.

 

I would like to know the answer also - in a few months im taking that down and im going to look at mine. do you have pictures of what the top pieces look like that you took off? I really would like to see what the clips look like so i know how to take it apart (like you did).

If so you need to please explain to my gf everything you covered, as I'm sure from another female it might make more sense to her.... lol we just got in a fight cause I told her Im going to be busy saturday morning cause i'm going to be gutting my car again as some new rattles had recently developed....
