I just got my H-techs shipped. Right now, my Xb runs on 15” rims with 195/60/15 tires. The ride/ performance quotient is nice with stock springs in this configuration. I am concerned that if I install the H-techs, my performance will suffer and the ride will be too soft. Am I overreacting? :? Speak up H owners!

That's good to know. I notice that you have 18"s or 19"s. Do you think that I will get the same benefits with 15" wheels?

I have both H techs and GoldLines. The H Techs are nice. They're onthe wifes ride, so I don't know about hard cornering, but they ride smooth and are not squishy.
go for it// they take 1-2 hours to switch if you dont like them, switch back.

I'm actually considering the same thing for my wife's xB because she says the ride is a bit too rough. However I know her as an aggressive driver and she likes the way it handles now on stock springs. I read someones post on their review of the H-tech and they said that their was some slight body roll because springs are softer. My question for you drivers that have already installed it, how noticeable is the body roll and also would it defeat the purpose of putting h-techs if I put on a strut tower bar and/or swaybars in case the body roll was too much? My other option was to go with coilovers, but it seems like everyone is getting them to lower their car rather than tune it for handling and comfort. She still wants to keep close to the stock ride height because of bay area driving and eventually she'll want to put 17's w/ 45 series tires, but I don't know if this is going to effect the ride quality much so I decided to seek help from everyone here first.

i have the tien spring (1.1, .09 gold color) and love them.... Randy put them on for me what 6 months ago and there as good if not better than the stock feel with a great stance on my xb with 18" wheel 40 series tires

So if you turn moderatly aggressive, there's no body roll? I guess I'm just looking for somebodys opinion to justify getting coilovers rathar than just springs.

It depends how agressive you plan on driving. If you add a strut bar and sway bars it won't effect the ride qualit, but it will deffinately help with the body roll. If you are interested I can get you a deal on any of the Tein products. The nice thing about coil overs is that they are designed to work with the spring no matter what height you set it at.

Want a cushy ride? Install the TEINs.

Too much body roll? Install an anti-sway bar.

Want more corner carving performance? Get a Miata. ;)
