Default Greddy Turbo, Lower Compression, higher boost

The greddy turbo to a stock scion xb engine boosts abotu 30-40% power??
so.. If I lower the compression, thats that lower the engines HP??, but instead higher the boost, since i guess is safer, how far can it go??,

For my experience, the CR would most likely ned to be around 8:1 for a decent ammount of boost (10-15lbs). I would plan on upgrading the head gasket. (is ours a metal shim gasket?) You also will need to use premium gas, if not a 93 octane for the higher boost levels. It might not be a bad idea to plan for an AIC unit (additional Injector controller) to keep from going lean. As far as timing goes, I'm not sure how the vvt-i will react to the boost senario. At the very least, install an exhaust temp sensor or an air/fuel ratio meter. Hope this helps.

What prices have you guys found? This is the cheapest one I found askin $2,195 but it also says for it to work with the US Scions you need either the Greddy e-manage or at the very least, an Apexi S-AFC
