so i raced this kid who has a intregra gsr. he has AEM Short Ram Intake,
DC Sports Short Shifter, and apparently no muffler lol. we raced 3 times. since i cant find the sweet spot on my launches he always had 1/2 a car on me from the launch. when i shifted into 3rd, it was nothing but me pulling on him. i short shifted into 5th and still pulled on him. all i have is the trd axel back and a diy intake from a sti. he im's me today saying i have more done. guess hes just sad. should i be surprised he lost?

I thiink stock they are about the same speed. Could be multiple reasons, older car that is making less hp with its age, you could be a better driver....or just from what I read mostly about races that TEH TC CAN NEVA LOSE!
yea it was on the street. usually keep it on the track, but 3am in a industrial park is about as safe as you can get. and i just wanted to shut this kid up. besides i think drag is ___. auto x and road courses is where its at.

Then, racing him to shut him up, in a street drag is what you call "___" to the extreme.
Drag/AutoX/Road... all different types of racing and all take an extreme amount of skill/design to perform well at... different worlds and different needs of a car.
Street Racing... that's just plain dumb altogether... who cares who is faster, as engine swaps, nitrous, performance additions, it's a crapshoot as to the winning car, outside of a controller envirnment....

Simply put....NO.
They have about the same hp, but a lot less tQ than you do. This is your advantage. And you probably have better gearing.
congrat on the wins,
mostly driver's race although i thought it would be the other way around.
you takin him in first on the launch and he slowly creeps in at about 3rd due to your car being torquey and him with that 10 extra hp coming from stock form.

10 extra hp is not going to compensate for the 20+ TQ deficit.
