Default I baked 'em

I finally got around to bakin' the headlights. I'd like to thank Chris (n2htwlz) for the idea of painting the inside frame of the lens... the eyelid was my idea. I think.

anyway, here goes:

That is NICE! I still cannot run across any one who bakes the same way. How did you do yours?

thanks.

really? everything I've read on here and on Clubxb is pretty much the same... depending on your oven: 5-6 mins. at 200 degrees. bing bang boom. the hard part for me was all the sealant. I didn't get a bunch of "strings" or run into any of those appearance problems - it was just the amount of it. man, my 2005 OEM headlights had goo to spare!

yeah, sorry the pics are weak.

I painted the inside of the lens. I painted the "frame" or border and an eyelid BSP and then put the headlight back together.

I think he meant heating up the headlamp so the glue thats holding the lense would be soft enough to remove the lamp from the assembly.
